I had a homemade catch can installed ... the bike ran like shit... wouldnt rev over 5g's and wouldn't let me go over 90... power wasnt there sometimes... just made the motor run like shit... disconnected the filter and it ran fine.... Back to the drawing board with that one... |

that sounds really odd, unless the tubing got pinched off, plugged connector, or something like that caused back-pressure in your crank case. Several people on the board are using them successfully. I hope you get the problem solved. |

Are you using some kind of a vent on your catch can? If not then like Diablo says, you will be blocking the whole point of the crankcase breathers and building up pressure in the crankcase. |

I have used three different ones over the past year with no problems at all. You need to have an inlet hose from the engine. An outlet hose to a filter and a drain hose. You need to use 3/8" I.D. hose and fittings. |
