I bought my 9sl a month ago and it has the race kit exhaust. When i trimmed the snorkel, i found out that it had a K&N as well. The race ecm's that i've seen have "race use only" printed on them. Mine doesn't have that, just a couple stickers with barcodes. How do i tell if it's a race ecm?

Sounds like you have the stock ECM.

What are the numbers under the barcodes? "BX1PA..." denotes a race ECM for an XB12, "BX9PA..." denotes a race ECM for an XB9. Not all race ECMs have "For Race Use Only" printed on them.

Mine dosen't have for race use either.
A lot of the early ones were reprogramed and are not stamped as such.

My ECM does not have for race use only. I have a 03 9s part # 32814-02YA

Mine just says "EXPERIMENTAL" and has the initials "GS". . . boy did I get taken!

My internet is down at my house, so i'm posting from a friends house. I don't have the #'s handy, but i remember when i checked it was 32814-02y XXXXX
there was no "A" after the Y. I'll get the exact #'s and post again tomorrow. Thanks for the help so far.

bottom one has

according to what odinbueller said, this would be a race ecm. Is that right?
