Tulsa was good. We had a good time and I liked my co-workers in that office. There are some pretty neat areas in that town. Lots of old oil money wrapped up in those historic mansions. Kristin and I will probably be making our decision in the next week or two if we will be moving down there to take the job opportunity. Good news is that Kristin's company also has offices in Tulsa. We poked around Broken Arrow and definately like that part of town. All the homes are brick and stone, which looks really cool. Just gotta talk to my company now about what kind of compensation they are going to give me to move to the Tulsa office. |

Eric, Good to see that you posted up. If you are in KC, MO google Kansas powder coating and a list of companies that does it will come up. There is a really good shop in Independence that our buddy from MCWORX has do all the powder coating for his chops. I'll give him a call and find out some more info for you. Since you are new to Buell you need to be introduced to Jeff from Harley Stunts and MCWORX. Check this out it is his DVD preview which is currently for sale. http://www.mcworx.com/jeff/videos/hs_web_preview.wmv (Message edited by thansesxb9rs on February 14, 2006) |

Good to meet all of you I cant wait for the big ride! I have been wanting to cruise around in a pack so that'll be a good time. Drake I'm sure it was me I travel for work all around town and I take my bike whenever I can stand the weather. You'll really know it was me if there wasn't a license plate on the bike yet...I still haven't paid the taxes and fees yet hopefully will get that done this week sometime so I can avoid a fix-it ticket. Tim I think that I saw those guys at Gail's grand opening last year. They were sick!! That was my first harley event I went to and i was pretty impressed with everything that was going on! Erik |

Always good to get another Bueller Erik. It'll be fun to see what you think after our first ride. Larry, don't worry about last weekend. My bike can wait for you to take care of your wife, and it was to cold to be working in the garage this weekend anyway. I was thinking more about dying my plastics, and I think I came up with something pretty cool. If I could find a way to tape off some stripes before we dye the plastics I think it would look pretty sick all black with the stock red for stripes. I'm just not sure that I could tape it off well enough since everything would be under water. I don't think the tape would have a good enough seal to keep the lines straight. Anyway, we'll talk about it later. I don't think I've got anything going on Sunday either, but if you need to relax we can wait. Later. |

That is a ballsy move from a married man going riding on Valentive's Day. I really want to go ride, but I'm not sure it is a good idea. I'll give you a call after I get done at the optomotrist after work. |

I told my wife I couldn't go out for dinner tonight because of a HOG meeting.... (We'll be doing a cold-weather gear demo, I think.) She "seems" OK with that. I'll know over the next few days...... If I never post here again, then you'll know what happened to me. |

Yikes, thanks for the reminder! LOL Don't worry, I have V-Day covered. But a 60+ degree day in February should be a good enough excuse. Don't you think? |

So as we were all worried about ditching our wives/girlfriends for a ride yesterday my wife came home and about gave me a heart attack. I have been wanting to replace my stock exhaust ever since I brought my new bike home from Nebraska. She walks in the door with a card that has $500 in it and says I can only spend it on exhaust for my Buell. I have the best wife ever...now if she could only decide which one to buy I'd be set. I've heard everyone's preference around the world but anyone here have any pointers between: D&D Drummer Special OPS Race Kit ??? I know I've asked this a lot every where else but it is a lot harder when you have the money in your hands!! Erik |

I have no experience with any of them, but from what I have been reading on Badweb, my choice would be the Drummer. In fact, I will be putting a Drummer on the Uly sometime this year. I don't think you could go totally wrong with any of them though. I have read that the race kit is sort of loud, requires a TPS reset, and may have a negative effect on mileage. There's my $0.02 |

Erik, it's really a personal choice... If you want to hear them I think we have all but a special ops in this group... If it was my money I would go with the Generation 2 Force set-up or the D&D I didn't care for the sound from the race pipe The Jardine sounds good on th 12's, but need repacking and seem to fall apart Larry |

D@mn, We are picking a few up every week. Welcome to KCLW Erik and Saw. Looking forward to meeting and riding as it gets warmer. Saw I would keep my eye on the classified board, things always pop up on there for real good prices. |

Can you get a Force system for $500? I might go for that myself. I looked on their website and it looks like $800 for the pipes and a baffle. Does Sam have the baffle on his? http://www.useforce.com/shop_buell_exhaustsys.php |

Lee, a force on your bike would be awesome..Sam has the baffle, but I don't think he uses it...he said it doesn't really make it any quieter... here is a force gen 2 on e-bay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Force-Streetfighter-Race-Pipe-Buell-Firebolt-Ligh tning_W0QQitemZ4613332122QQcategoryZ35573QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem |

My bike has a sticker on it that says if I make it louder I will be violating federal law. Is that similar to the mattress tag law? (Message edited by lowflyer on February 15, 2006) |
