Blake, The speed is highly dependent upon your connection. Try a 28K dial up and then a Cable Modem then get back to me with the Calcs. Arvel |

Blake, I stand corrected by you awesome intellect. You said "better". I will now go to my corner and repeat BAD ARVEL, BAD ARVEL, BAD ARVEL 1000 times. Arvel(Very Very Bad) |

Brake San : You misunderstand me. I use the http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/board-topics.html to open then I click General Discussion Page. Once at the General Discussion Page, to access the New Messages Utility box, you have to scroll down the page some. What I was asking was, is it not possible to put that New Messages Utility box at the top of the page ? For all my profile editing or whatever, I have http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/board.html in my favourites so I just open in that format rather than my usuall wide screen view. Sorted ! Rocket: Actually I simply can't read worth a shyte! You said "top" and I read "bottom"; what a genius I am! I'll put a link closer to the top just for you, ya brick headed tail breather! So others are also clear on this scenario: Your best bet is to start with the frames version URL... http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/index.html or http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/board.html and click on the left frame's "New Messages!" link, then drag the frame divider all the way to the left if you want to surf to other pages via the main topics page. The BBS's only inherent nav links are in the lefthand frame. Or... (here's a brilliant idea) bookmark the new messages page itself... http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/board-newmessages.cgi Blake |

Blake, I have a Buell promo CD-ROM from the Benelux which was sent to me free and unrequested, so I imagine that there are no restrictions on me sharing it. Are you (BWB) capable of 255mb storage for a Quicktime video? Or more? I have uploaded the first part (14mb) to a free site here with a 40mb limit, so I will keep it there for a week and then replace it with part 2, but it would be nice to keep it somewhere permanently. BLAKE, THE WINDY CITY SECTION HAS LOST ALL THE POSTS FROM MARCH 26TH TO APRIL 10TH. Is there any way to get these back? |

Blake, It seems that some sections get their archives stored in non-chronological format, look at the NorthWest section for a real good visual of this anomoly. I don't know if it affects all main categories, but is really prevalent in the Regional StormFront section. |

Hey Peter... If you are willing, I would be interested in the CD. If you can put the whole thing online somewhere, I would like to grab a copy. Once I get a copy, I would be happy to burn CD's and snail-mail them out to the first 5 or 10 people to ask for it... I would post it for download, but I'm sure my ISP would start sqwuaking about the bandwidth if too many people hit it. If you want to send it to me instead, I can set up a secure shell account on my home DSL based server for you to transfer it... I don't allow FTP past my firewall, but there are small elegant ssh clients for both windows and linux that install with a minimum of fuss. (Or I could set up a simple upload http page as well, but I don't know if that would be reliable for that big a file). Bill (Bill At KilgallonFamily dot com) |
