I seemingly never have encountered any references to the Performance Machine wheels that came on the X1.Does anyone have any hard numbers/years etc.? I'm not gloating that MY old X1 has them,just that i never see any others.Too bad Buell now prefers to source them from the Chinese instead of some great American brothers.How are yours holding up? I polish mine once or twice a year and are good as new.. | ||

I also have the "non-optional" 4 spoke units on my ancient/obsolete pre-popular version of Buell's finest, and I like 'em just fine. Polishing them every year or so is highly therapeutic. Mother's Aluminum Polish is a godsend. Although, now that I hear that they are so heavy, I'm a little skittish about being seen in public with them. The embarassment could be devastating. I can hear it now - "Nice shiney wheels, Bro - too bad they're so heavy. How to you manage to ride that thing like that?" I'll just have to have my snappy "yea, but they're not Chinese" answer ready to ward off the possible social ostracising that could ensue. AL | ||

i've got pm's on my x1. and I actuall think the regualar rims look better. less material and they just blend in. The pms rims are just big and fat looking. just my .02 | ||

My X1 has Pm's on it other than polishing them they are wonderful. they are not that heavy and nice and sturdy as they are "billet" I prefer the polished metal over the nuke blue that the cast alloy / marchesini wheels would have been finished, How many 3 spoke varients of the pm's were produced? |
