I have a mikuni carb and hypercharger (piece of junk I know). I took my 95 s2 to get serviced by a friend that does work on Motorcycles mainly harleys. He told me I the bracket that holds the carb and the hypercharger was the wrong one so I'm here to try to get advice where to get the right one.

The mikuni carb actually moves from the vibration of the engine when on. The part thats in between the two where the mikuni carb connects(air horn) is not the right size to fit in the bracket. The hypercharger doesn't vibrate at all. If the mikuni sat properly in the bracket that connects to the hypercharger then there wouldn't be a problem. TIA!

thats what mikuni sells with the carb. At least it came with my hsr42. it bolts to the bracket via the air cleaner. It mounts to the crab via pressure with an o-ring. If you un bolt the bracket from the head you should be able to pull the adaptor, bracket, and air cleaner off as one unit.

Check with mikuni website.

you could probably get a spacer that would fit in there get another gasket and it would be fine, if you tell me how much of a gap there is, probably not too much I am assuming, I may have a thin one laying around. Many people put spacers on the outside or inside of that bracket so that may be the easiest cheapest way to go...

How would the spacer fit on? I can't really picture it. Where does the spacer go on? The carb or the bracket part? Thanks for the help

the spacers that I have would slide between the carb and the bracket that holds everything to the engine, if you need I can get you pics tonight. Rather simple...all the bolt holes that hold my forcewinder should be the same as a hypercharger thus will hold all that together-although you might have to get a 1/4" or so longer bolts via the hardware store...
