Hi...for sometime now i have been running a std modified muffler, what i did was cut both ends off,remove the std pipes weld in a perferated single 2" pipe up the centre and about 4" from the end divide this into two 1 1/2" pipes exciting one each side.I have good power gains and good deep tone.I have just replaced the plugs at 12k miles.These showed a nice light brown colour.long rides have always delivered 70 miles mpg or better.I was told that the oxy sensor would keep air fuel ratio's correct...is this all wrong should i be running the race ecu |

Are you still running the stock air filter and airbox? If so you should be fine. Most people run into trouble when they combine 2 or more of these mods. exhaust, filter, and cut airbox. The problem comes when air flow out-strips the ecu's ability to accomodate it. |

I still kinda just want to get a slip on trim piece made for that little bit of exhaust tail pipe (has to be a proper name for it) in the cut/shape of flames. Exhauset tip? Maybe that's what it'd be called. |

Hi... No changes to the intake yet,Sounds like I'd better not touch anything else till i change the ecu.Is it a do it yourself to reset the tps once the ecu has been fitted.I've read so much about the race kits some hardly notice any change maybe I should just go for a 12R instead of trying to drag small amounts of power from a stock 9R |

You can do it yourself if you buy a software package from technoresearch. Other than that it is a dealer service. shouldn't take more than a few minutes to have it done. Some dealers have even been known to do it for free. |
