I read on BadWeb that the Penske shock requires removal of the cooling fan on the XB models. Does anyone know if the fan just has to be removed for install then can be reinstalled, or does it have to stay removed? |

I think it has to stay removed unless you do a little bit of cutting with a dremel etc... It's doable . |

Not sure what they were thinking, but the early ones had the remote reservoir hose pointing straight up (or down). I have them built for me in the correct location, but I specifically request it that way when I order it. Not sure what they were thinking when they located it vertically. I had one built that way not knowing any differently, but they changed it at my request on that one and others that I've had built since. I don't think any cutting is necessary on the ones we sell, or at least my customers haven't given me that feedback if they did. But I have no idea if they build them for others that way, as I still have the specific request on my POs when I order them. Al |

Fan must be tilted back at top fasteners via spacers to get the Penske in. I also shimmed the lower fan body fastener a bit to relieve bending stresses in the fan mount plastic... unknown how this will work long-term. Ohlins install requires the same type of kludging. See Jon's comments within the XB board. PM me if pics desired. |
