I'm currently working on two transmissions,(Cyclone and XL 1200 5 speed) Therefore,it will be no problem to measure how fare the pins are sticking out of that two drums, if you want me to. There isn't any Loctite recommended,neither in my Sportys Clymer, nor in my OEM repair manual for Cyclones.As fare as I'm concerned,I wouldn't use any Loctite. When I replaced mine it was because the C clip worked loose and was rattling around in the primary. I replaced the detent plate too. I noticed that two of the pins stood proud of the others and I just tapped them back into place with a small drift pin and ball peen hammer. This was back in 2001 and they have not worked loose again (I had the motor apart last winter.) I did not use any lock tite. Hope this will help to solve your problem.   Ocbueller Posted on Saturday, January 28, 2006 - 05:32 pm:        The Baker drum kit will eliminate the c-clip and replace it with a bolt on assy. My thinking is if those pins worked out once they will do it again. Loctite might help. On Billfishes bike, the detent wore at an angle, because it was cocked for quite awhile before we opened it up and discovered the cracked c-clip and backed out pins. With the Baker kit this shouldn't be a problem. The kit is not cheap but I think it is the final solution. SteveH   Ezblast Posted on Saturday, January 28, 2006 - 05:54 pm:        Thanks guys!
