Ride to the Ranchito: Thurs 1/19--Sun 1/22 We've got a number of out-of-towners promising to attend, many of whom are well-known on BWB, coming from Kilgore, Tx and points North. All you Houston-Austin-San Antonio folks oughta try to make it. I'm thinking the big feed would best be held on Saturday 1/21. I know at least one attendee is planning to travel to Dallas the following Monday for the 2nd annual BBQ blow-out with Blake, DaveS, Clown, and probably Erik hisownself like last year. PM me via my profile if you're planning to make it, so I can plan food and stuff. Most of you Houston guys already know the way, but if you need directions, let me know. rt |

What kind of spirit would you get from fermented and distilled okra I wonder? |

Thanks RT for keeping everyone informed! Are you able to make it again this year? Dinner on Monday, January 23 is at Up-N-Smoke BBQ in Keller (just north of DFW). We're eating at 7pm, but several DFW Buellers will be there for libations and bench racing (lies, all lies) at 6:30. Word has it that several "famous" Buell factory types may show their faces (they did last year and surprised us all!). See the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex Buellers for more details and to RSVP. Y'all come! |

RT, The Blackbird has landed back in the Woodlands with only minor delays from the rain. The BBQ burgers and sausage at the Ranchito was great...Good meeting all Buellers. Mucho Gracias Road Thing and Mrs Road Thing. REM |

Huge thanks to Road Thing and his wife for their hospitality- y'all are awesome hosts! I had a great time, and will post some photos later. HellbuellyJ and I made it through the cold rain without problems. I made it home a little before 3 PM!! Believe it or not, the rain didn't bother me that much, it spiced up the trip home on boring 290. It was great meeting all of y'all. Thanks again |

Thanks to everybody for coming! And thanks especially to Hootowl for the most excellent homebrew beer, to Philip for the pies and the sausage, to Jay for the T-shirt and the distilled spirits and for bringing the demo Uly and 9 other new friends from Austin! Philip, I'm glad Kathy is feeling OK. It seems ironic that, at a gathering of motorcycle hoodlums featuring mucho cerveza, a brand new Uly and the Super_moto_thing to ride in the dirt, that the only injury would come from from driving a 4-wheeler with a roll cage through the woods! I'll get back to you on repairs, Jeff and I bent the bumper back off the tire this morning and looked it over. I don't think it's gonna be too bad. Lotsa pix to sort through, but here's one to start on... Kinda says it all, I think... rt |

Chadley: Glad the ride home went OK, it seemed pretty damn cold to me (but I'm a notorious p**sy when it comes to riding in the cold /wet). At least you were well insulated! rt |

HA, I knew there was no way I could have drank all that rum by myself. Blakes busted. Kinda like a kid in a candy store that one was. |

Hey thang what program do you use to re-size your pictures? I can't get irfanview to work that well. Quality really sucks after re-sizing. |

Billybob_runr: go to XAT.com and download their trial program. I use it at the office with good results. At home I use the editing software that came with my Nikon camera. rt |
