Looks like I will be aquiring a 1998 S-3,black,with Buell race pipe/can/Aircleaner,Banke frame brace, bag mounts.Body/frame/wheels/etc looks great, engine has high miles and still need to hear it run/ride it.Much of its care and maintenance was done at Modesto.$2500 for all or put in your requests. |

Update, after reading through the paperwork that came with the bike here is info I gleaned-- top end was done at 44,000,t/o bearing, clutch cable, rear pads 6,000 miles ago, clutch was redone at 70k and an updated shift detent added.Says it has full Buell race kit but I cannot tell if module is correct. Will have to check #.Shock was done at 84,000 and does not appear to leak.Has updated exhaust hanger and added safety cable for race can.Battery looks new.R/F fork seal looks to be leaking. It has Dunlop 208's and they look recent.First owner put 90,000,second and then the guy I bought it from both put about 6000 each.A bunch of the maintenance and work was done at Modesto Buell and Dudley Perkins in SF.Has underseat Buell bag,Banke oil cap, rear bag mounting bracket.I absconded with the frame brace as I needed one.One crack just below mirror on r/s of fairing.I ran it up on the freeway and it runs /sounds good, went to 5500,no apparent engine leaks, shifted well.Even the clock works!Jim.
