OK, Larry and I have been talking about Daytona. I checked out airline tickets and for $500 (round trip) I just do not want to drop that kind of cash. So here is an idea we came up with. It is a 19 hour drive from KC to Daytona. So this seems like a good alternative. We would leave the Thursday morning before that weekend, I think it is the 8th. Sleep when we get there and then wake up in time friday to goto the Daytona Supercross on Friday night. Saturday night goto the Daytona 200 and leave early Sunday morning or late Saturday. This would probably be around a $400 dollar trip depending on how many people go. If we take my pickup we can fit probably 4 people, and if we have 6 or 7, then we go in two veichles. What does everyone think, anyone interested. This is just an idea, not sure if we will all be able to get the time off yet. This would just be a quick trip to see both races and probably not much partying time. |

Fellas, I just got back from riding...whew it was NICE out....oh shoot, SORRY Tripper! Memory too short! JJ- I am up for tomorrow night going out too. Thing is, would it be bad if I was our riding tomorrow night while my wife is at home recovering from having her WISDOM TEETH pulled! I'll have to check on that one... Stopped by Gail's tonight to pick up a torx screw that I lost and the chick from Survivor that won $1 million dollars was there signing autographs. Hot! Jim Shea got his Uly and he is also the official Buell salesman there. Tim- You can count me in on a run to Daytona. Sounds like a helluva weekend! |

Drake, If she says it's okay and that you should go riding, for the love of everything Holy, DON'T GO! It's a trap. The best thing to do is don't mention riding. Just let her think you are there for her all the way. Then, sneak out while she is asleep. Make sure when you return that you have some Motrin and a Walgreen's bag with you. |

Sounds good to me, but how about bumping the big bore kit up to 1400cc's. What is yours Sam? Powder coat your wheels will cost you probably around $250 when all is said and done. Powder coating is around $100, bearings I think are $80 total (front and rear) mount and balance $$$not sure yet but could be $50 bucks oh ya plus having the old bearings pressed out and the new ones pressed in more $$$. |

oh...well the 1400cc kit i didn't think i could do with it being a 9sx....the nallin site said that 1200 is the biggest i can go in the stock setup. so i don't know what else i'd have to buy. and on the powdercoating...i don't want the whole wheel..just the spokes...not even the middle of wheel where the axle is. oh and i forgot the LED tail light and integrated turn signals with the clear lens which is another 300 |

Hey Eric, If I may, I'd like to make a recommendation. Put the plugs, K&N, Exhaust, ECM and seat on it first and see how you feel about it. I think you'll be surprised at how much of a change these mods make on your bike compared to stock. With powdercoating it doesn't matter how much you have done because the wheel still has to be baked so the coating stays on. So you will still deal with the added costs that they are talking about. As for the bore kits, I would be carefull with those. First you can throw your warranty out of the window, second when you build a hot rod you lose reliability. Sam's bike is awesome, but it does require more work than a stock bike to keep it on the road and running properly. Plus with the bore kit there are other things to think about. Hopefully Sam will chime in about all of the mods that he did to his 9R in order to make the bore kit work properly. I know there was a ton of engine work, new sprockets and lots of other things that went into that bike. Just my two cents. Be sure you do all of the research before taking a big step. There is always more involved in engine mods than it appears on the surface. |

Hey the Cycles & More is an ALL BRANDS show not just the custom bike type. Although you need to maintain an open mind its not an all Sport Bike show either. If you have not been to this show in a couple of years you need to check it out. They have a small motox track inside Hale arena and also have a trials demonstration. Check it out... http://cyclesnmore.com/ I'll be at the "Ride For Kids" booth, Fri 6:30-9, Sat. 6pm-9 & Sunday 10-noon. Hope to see some Bueller there!! Jeff |

Buellgrrl at it again. A guy asking about shipping a Buell to Europe and she has to chime in with this crap again. I had to let her have it a little. Thought you guys would laugh.} save them from the choppers in the U.S. that bastardize them! Buellgrrl, let it go. Stop being a closed minded twit, and don't jack the guys thread. I don't think we need to have another one of these discussions, do we? Geessh. |

ya i'll have to ask kevin how much a SS Drummer would be from him. with the 1200cc kit...well nallin racing said that 1200 is the largest i can punch my 9 out to in my stock cases. but they said case boring is required to fit in the cylinders i guess. not too sure what all they'd have to do. i just want a bigger bore while still seeming to be a CityX...sneekiness i guess. anyway...what's all the talk about hoodies and T's? are you guys making KCLW shirts? if so..how much do they cost...i'd probably be interested. sorry drake i was out on the bike earlier..but if u get this soon enough let me know where ur wanting to ride. |

Eric, we need to talk. I think I may have more info on your engine conversion than you'll ever care to know.... want to hear it? I'll point you in the right direction...before mine was 1426cc, it was 1200, before that it was 984cc with heads and can, before that it was still the fastest firebolt in KC ('cause it's white, of course) seriously, I may be able to give you some clues as to what you getting into. who here has ridden it? |
