Can any of you who have the Select Seat tell me what the pillion comfort is like ? It looks funny with the V down the middle of it. I`d like to get a more comfortable seat but not at the expense of pillions comfort . Will the Buell tail bags still fit the Select ? Hows the Height compared to the stock Lightning seat ? Thanks Murdoch |

It "looks" like it's a tad taller than the stock seat (standard seat, not the CityX which is taller still) but it squishes down a bit when you sit on it. So, I'd say about the same once you're sitting on the bike. It is very comfty. It is firm without being hard & soft without being mushy. The secret's in the foam they use. It simply works well. As far as passengers, I havn't taken anyone for a ride yet but I don't see it as a problem. Don't take my word for it though. I'm sure some one who has had passengers on theirs will add their $.02 I have yet to see the saddle bags but there's no reason what so ever why they wouldn't fit with the Select seat. The straps are adjustble (via velcro) so an extra bit of seat thickness should not be an issue. |

I have the select seat and the saddlebags on my XB12 Girl LOVES the select over the stock I can take some pics of the bags with the seat if you want...is there a particular area you are concerned about the bags fitting? |

Thanks for the replies. I was meaning the tail bag that sits on the pillion area not the saddlebags. Thats more of a minor issue, I am mainly wanting to know what pillions think of the Select seat. Thanks |

I have the saddlebags, the trunk bag, the tank bag, and when just commuting to work I use the tail bag. It fits fine with the Select seat. I've only taken 2 people for rides on the Buell since installing the Select seat, and both commented that it was reasonably comfortable. I haven't noticed what the height is, but I like the way it feels better. |

I love mine, and so does my passenger. Miles better than the CG seat I had. My testicles thank me. |

Has anyone switched from the XB9SX seat? If so was there much of a difference for rider/passenger? |

I put the select seat on my 12S and it is a huge improvement. I went from noticing my seat after an hour and a half and having to stand up or something, to not even thinking about it. Perfect!! |
