Ooooook, so, for those of us who may not get tickets to this race. Who's house (Florida boys) are we having the race party at? Vegas? You still have that offer on the table for the races? |

Tickets fopr the 200 should be available on race day at the gate. I don't think that it has ever even come close to selling out. |

Davegess, Thanks, I was wondering how to purchase tickets and worrying about availability, was hoping I could get them at the track that week. |

$$30K$$ is a lot of money to never finish in the top 10 over the 600cc bikes. But they sound like trains at least. PIR here I come! |

Raraf, you'll put $$ down right now that a XBRR will never finish a Formula Extreme race ahead of a 600cc bike? Who wants to hold the dough? |

Am I the only one who recalls when "all knowing" folks had it on "good authority" that Buell was doomed and would cease to exist in the next 6 months. Man...talk about a total failure at ceasing to exist.

Geez Court...you have an inside line with Erik...let him know he's supposed to have quit by now! My opinion is simple...this can only lead to bigger and badder street Buells in the near future. With the successful introduction of the Ulysses and now a pure race bike, Buell has opened a lot of eyes that would normally be lookin' the other way. That's not such a bad thing. |

Bravo Buell, bravo, bravo! [standing ovation] Wow, is there anything the XB platform cannot do? Streetfighter, sportbike, city bike, canyon runner, touring bike, adventure bike, daily driver, commuter... ...and now balls-out race bike. What a design, what a versatile, flexible platform the XB is. It slices, it dices, it julienes potatoes! No but really... to me, the fact that this design does so many things so well speaks volumes about the fundamental "rightness" of the Buell XB design. |

Inspired by Dave Gess . I know it's not that good, but in my defense there's nothing out there (on the web) yet of good enough quality, all the pics I have are from taken from a cell phone. The engine is taken from the Buell web site, screen captures of their flash. I got the idea from Dave's transparent Buell, the other Race Only Buell. Hope that's OK Dave. |

$$30K$$ is a lot of money to never finish in the top 10 over the 600cc bikes. Have you checked the Formula Extreme results from 2004? The two guys racing XBs placed in the top 10 a number of times with one placing in the top four if memory serves correct. That would place the XBs ahead of a lot of 600cc bikes! Also, does anyone know what a Honda FX race-ready bike costs? I'm betting that it is a lot more $30k! Wow, is there anything the XB platform cannot do? Streetfighter, sportbike, city bike, canyon runner, touring bike, adventure bike, daily driver, commuter... Don't forget drag racing! Keith |

I'd wager that the factory Hondas cost twice that. Top tier racing isn't cheap. |

I'll put $ on ... not all the Buells that enter the Daytona 200 are running on the track at the end. Common understanding of the above statement. No.. wellllll, it was running the garage, and the garage in part of the track BS.... in the race, on the track... all that started. on the line? $.05 and a bottle of Sierra Vista Winery's finest. against????????? |

I'd wager that not all of the japanese bikes that start the 200 are still running at the end of the race. The 200 is a race of attrition. It's supposed to be hard. |

How about I give $.05 for each Buell that enters and doesn't finish and you give $.10 for any Japanese or $.05 for a Duc that enters and doesn't ride across the line. Drinks are on me if we ever meet up (I'll be the guy on the FJR wearing the "Yamaha Racing" hat ) |

Wouldn't it be cool if EVERYONE went to www.davegess.com and bought the original picture....just think. . . travel funds for one of the key player in Buell history to see the XBRR race at Daytona. Now THERE'S an idea. Spread the word. |

Paul (Vonsliek), Your question is along the same lines as the "when did you stop beating your wife" one. Since all 50 XBRR's have been sold, it seems that most don't share your view. I sure don't, not on any level. |

I saw 3 pics, but only one had a motorcycle in it. I doubt those women in the other 2 will be racing against the Buell. Not to say they aren't fast rides...... (Message edited by diablobrian on January 25, 2006) |
