hey guys any tips on mounting those cr low bars on a lightening? there are 2 holes in the stock bars to position the electric controls, looks hard to find the right spot to drill, or do you just grind off the plastic nibs on the inside of the controls?, any input appreciated |

Cut mine off as well they don't move without them. |

I cut the nubs off too. Mine have moved a little but i think it was after the dealer loosened the controls. Just keep 'em way snug and you should be fine. I remember someone wrapped a little electrical tape around the bar to hold them in place, thats prob what I'll do for this season. |

Didn't have to cut the nubs off of mine. I got my Xroads bars used. They had little notches drilled in them to accommodate the nubs. I am guessing that they are not drilled this way from the factory? |

One way around the nubs hole problem is to wrap some masking tape around the bars where the nubs will be. Then temporarily install the controls where you want them. The nubs will mark the tape. Drill where the marks are. |

Fritz, I'll be signing bikes at the March Badness in Suches Georgia, last weekend in March. Hope you are going to be there. It is going to be everything that the Apalachian Adventure was supposed to be, but wasn't. |

I second what Jon said. A couple wraps of masking tape, then just "squeeze" the controls when you have them in place. Makes a really nice imprint to drill. Easy piece of mind... Tom |
