Would you have pic. of the back side of the plastic? I would like to see how it is mounted. Looks very good. BTW, how do you cut the smooth hole on the gas tank? |

Excellent Pin! More details please: the brothers all want to know how you did it, and their wives want to know what strainer to hide:-) BTW, what kind of finish is on the front of your chin guard? Who made the seat? Thanks |

Nice job. Got enough strainer left to fit a bit under the seat? Nice seat by the way, custom?

That looks great! That has more airflow then mine. You did a very nice job cutting the plastic. I went with the drill instead. Also, I have more grunt and better throttle response. I can't measure any HP gains since I didn't dyno it but it has to have a little more pull. I also added the K&N at the same time and cut the inner airbox so the added airflow has been great for performance for just the price of a filter and some handy work. Once again nice job on yours. |

Thanks for the compliments! The airbox cover was the hardest part to do.I drilled a hole at the top ,then used a hacksaw blade to cut, twisting very hard to make the curve.I then used various grades of sandpaper till I got the final finish. The screen wasn`t all that easy either.I cut and bent a piece larger than the hole ,traced the hole with a felt pen then formed the screen with my finger nails. It took a while to get it to the right shape, and then I used a quick setting two part epoxy on both edges of the excess screen and airbox. The epoxy set in 5 minutes and then I could press the screen to the edge better and shape it nicely in the hole. I put on 15000 kms.last season and the stock seat really sucked. So I took it in to a local uphoslterer. He did a great job on the cover but the shape sucked. So I took the cover off, stripped out the foam and built it up myself. The top layer of foam is 1" of memory foam.Luckily there was enough cover I could restaple it on and pulled it nice and tight .I think I`m happy with it now,and it feels great!! The cowl is just painted with rubberized undercoating with a top coat of flat black. If it chips I can just easily touch it up.I had already done this otherwise I think I would have put LineX on it.Oh well it might be alright. |
