Bart, I explored the lower roads at South Mtn. and on the way out a couple guys from the Kawiforms were riding in to the Mountain running late so I stopped and chatted with them for awhile. Then we went to go eat. |

Nice to hear from you again Kobie . That's a good video... I wouldn't mind seeing some video of a Battletrax. I haven't been to one yet. If you don't mind sending it up I'm at 944 Lookout Rd Prescott AZ, 86303 You could deliver it the next time we have a ride up here too . Either way works for me. What are the plans for the AZ Daytona party? |

Lets stop this ugly rumor right now. Nothing is wrong with the Aprilia. What started out as some simple drivetrain maintainance ended up being something alot bigger. Typical chain/sprockets changeout (I know, I know...belts are better) ended up taking forever because the sprocket manufacturer broke the die to make the sprockets. In the mean time I thought I'd buy a couple extra parts while I was waiting. Well the sprocket took 3 months to get and I ended up getting alot more upgrade parts than I expected. Now I have a ton of parts to install and not alot of extra time to put them on. Part busy, part lazy. Compound that with a steller year by the Pittsburgh Steelers and the bike is still up on stands in the garage. The season is almost over and now I can see some light at the end of the tunnel. Soon my friends. Soon. |

Well it is now a fact. My fabulous head shaking Ulysses is no more I am sorry to say. It was pronounced a total loss this mourning. I am currently at the wake for it's passing. |

More details were request so here goes. It committed suicide...12/29/05....on a ride back from Bartlett lake with my brother-in-law at the controls. I was following on the KLR and at mile post 4 (Dead man's curve).....your too young to remember that song I am sure....cool song ..... anyway the bike low sided into the guard rail and bounced back hitting him and turned his spleen into mush. I had to get him life flighted to a trauma one medical center for emergency surgery to remove his spleen. He is back to work already (man you young guys heal fast) that is all that matters to me. Anyway now my mother-in-law has a wanted dead or alive poster out with my face and name on it(remind me to check on how much the reward is). The bike had 2,760 miles on the clock. The BWM GPS went air-born and is not of this world any more. The hard bags saved him a lot of road rash and harm so except for the spleen, a small amount of road rash, a sore knee and hand. He will be fine no broken bones or anything major. The problem with following is now I see this movie in my head over and over again. Have I told you today how much I hate insurance companies? I just had a big wake for the bike last night but I still do not feel a lot better. I sure hope that head shake problem I went thru did not have anything to do with this deal. |

That's bad news Dave. Glad you're getting the replacement soon. Thankfully, my insurance company was great through my deal and my turnaround was pretty fast. TWO WEEKS TO TRACKDAY, YAY! My Corsa's showed up today |

HH Yes I think mine was the first sold in Arizona and 33 out of the first 100 in the country. It was a wonderful bike, great ride position....I could go on and on. CB Enjoy track day at my last one. I took both the 9r and the 12x. Afterwards I looked at the tires and the 9r held up much better than the 12x. I followed the "Higbee" suspension settings and loved both bikes on the track. The 9r was by far better on the track but the 12x was still way better than I thought possible for a tall upright seated bike. It would make for a wicked super motard bike. |

Any one interested in vintage dirt bike racing? AHRMA added a TT on friday night and a short track on Sat night out at speedworld. http://azspeedway.com/ This is the big weekend of the year in AZ for vintage bikes. My buddy George will be racing an old Indian in short track on Sat. I'll probably be out there on Fri night also. Come on out and check it out. |

Good one. Speaking of stands, I almost dropped my bike off the jacks so I'm springing for a pit bull. Got really heavy trying to catch it! I too am going to try the Higbee suggestions but I'm a fat bastard so I'll prolly have to "tweak" them a little for my heavyness... I can't wait to get a Uly. My Sgt Maj just got a 1200GS and he's looking for a wash riding partner. |
