I am looking to going with the Michelins here in about a week or so. My Dunlops are done . I know The Pilot powers are a good tire alot of you all run here. I am wondering wich one gives you the best all around performance. And doesnt wear out extremely quick like the Dunlops. If peformance is comprimised between a longer lasting tire in the pilot power series. I would rather lean towards the performance side as I think this is safer. Here are the 3 I found so far. Michelin Pilot Road Street Tires Michelin Pilot Power Street Tires Michelin Pilot Race Street Tires Any inputs would be a great help before I spend several hundred bucks. Thanks |

Michellin Pilot Sports are probaly the best combination of sticky and decent wear. They discontinued the pilot powers. Found a good online price for them also at http://www.lithiummotorsports.com/catalog/index.php/cPath/30 |

So the "sport" is the Michelin Pilot Power Street Tires? Looks like a darn good price there too. Better than what I found so far. Thanks |

No, the Pilot Sports were replaced by the Pilot Powers. I'd said go with the Pilot Powers. You should get around 4500 to 5500 miles out of a set and they are probably the stickiest tire currently available for a "street" compound. The Pilot Roads are a great sport touring tire, and probably have a tread life on our bikes of around 7000-8000 miles. But since you want something a little stickier, try the Powers. I PROMISE you won't be disappointed, you'll come back here and tell us how much better the bike feels and handles, and how you'll never run anything else. |

I'm now a big believer in the Pilot Powers. Mounted a set for a race school last weekend and they felt super stable and consistent. I was dragging knee and peg and they never felt like they were gonna break loose. As far as mileage, I'm almost down to the wear bars on the edges after 188 miles on the track.....but the center is brand new! I'll buy them again. |

I too agree with the michelin pilot powers. Huge difference from the dunlops. They should have been made standard equipment on the bike instead. |

Ditto on what everyone has said about the Pilot Powers. They are just a lot better all around than the Dunlops: better steering, don't stand up on braking in a corner, grip better and wear almost twice as long, although at 5000 miles, they aren't anything like they were new. PS. Even though the front will look good when the rear is worn out, change both of them together, otherwise the handling is not nearly as good. |

I agree with most of the comments. I have 4,500 miles and am at the wear bars. Thought they would be better, but like their feel. Would buy again. |

Not too much but a guy who I ride with has a gsxr-600 with them on and he loves them. The guy went through 3 rear tires in one season from a nail in the tread. So he replaced the oem tires on the gsx-r with those conti attacks. We do some high speed runs with curves on clover leafs. I have never seen his bike shake, slide or roll due to loss of grip. Cool looking tire. He likes them. |

hicmm213 a guy in the uk Nick Saunders rode round the world on the conti's yam r1 ,had no probs with them, up to 5000 with a rear. i'm going to put them on a aprilia tuono and a city x. they are a very good price too. |

Metz Z6 and Conti Road Attacks are both longer lasting and better performing than the stock 207. I am on my 3rd Z6 rear & will definitely buy another, although I am tempted to try the Conti's. |

The Pilot Power is a super sticky tire. I have friends that love them. I've been running Pirelli Diablos on my Ducati and they work very well, even on the track. If you want more stick, they have the Diablo Corsa for more track oriented riding (compares to the Pilot Power). |
