Nothing so far, a great bike. I've found that mirrors actually work, although the adjustment is a bit fussy. Fixed the horn buzz, otherwise no problem. I have found that the bike I've bought is much smoother than the demo I first rode. Just lucky I guess. |

Man...I guess I'm just lucky. I haven't had a single issue with my bike. I've done all my own service and it's never seen the dealer. I do have to get off my lazy butt and check the primary chain. Just been putting it off. TPS has always been spot on, oil usage has been reasonable, no engine lights coming on, no head shake, no rusting (and yes, I have ridden in the rain and even done a creek crossing), been getting good mileage, and other than me lowsiding the bike at 20mph and scratching it up a bit (parts on their way from Daves), the bike is perfect. I've got a bit less than 1500 miles on it right now. No complaints. |

Duck, Have you gotten off the thing since August? Let's hear about those miles. |

Indeed, Very impressive Duck! Got mine on 11/4 with 4 miles on it. Now up to app. 2200. I have ridden on post salt roads and (also knocking on wood) no rust. Only thing so-far is the horn buzz. Easy fix. Rkc00, looks like it's time for an SS Drummer By the way Slayer, if you can remember back to Kindergarden, black is ALL colors. White is absent of color. |

I cheated............I bought the bike from DaveS, rode it back to Pittsburgh that day. Retired from the Army the next week and rode around the country for two months and 18k. I have tons of great pictures and met a lot of great folks including some Buellers at OctoberFast 05. I really need to get off my butt and write up a trip report! |

Bosh, I'll have to look into that. Black absorbs light (which is color) no? Any way, as you can see from my spelling the old bird was a little off so who knows. |

Snub13 and Bosh. Now, I'm really not a nit-picker, but you're both right, and both wrong. It actually depends on how the colors are presented. Re: Projecting (via light projection) all colors (or the three primary colors, i.e. pure red, yellow, blue) against a pure white background gives us pure white. Eliminating those colors (turning off the light) presents us with black, since black is the absence of light and pure white light consists of all wavelengths of color in equal proportions. So black, as seen in white light, consists of all colors in equal proportions emanating from a surface. That is: black paint consists of the three primary colors in equal proportions, as illuminated by white light, which is also the three primary colors in equal proportions. Clear as mud? With all the popping synapses evident on this site, I'm surprised nobody's cleared that up yet. Steve Gear up! |

Thanks for clearing that up Steve, I think. Duck: Well, I can't blame you. I like VA. Something to be said about a place that calls the likes of G. Washington and R. E. Lee their own. |

Boy, I wish I was alone in saying this but it seems I have company. Other than dropping the bike between 25-30 mph due to Ice, the Bike has been fine. I had to send back one of the Hard Bags because the lock broke. The rear tire is next. I have over 2800 miles and have cleared the tread in the center of the tire. I'm waiting until I strip it before replacing but I doubt that will take long. I will put one maybe two more rear tires before wearing out the front then I'm going to try the Scorpion Sync tires from the CityX |

Snub, don't let Steve confuse you. You are right about black absorbing all light. No light reflected back to your eyes, no true colors seen. White reflects all light back to your eyes, all true colors seen but mixed. This is real basic but if I go any deeper on this subject my head will hurt! There are two important things to remember: 1) Black is bad, such as black ice, black eye, blackmail, black market, black sheep, blacklist, blackout, blackleg, and blackguard. 2) If people think you are wrong, just do like I do, tell them your name is Tim Holmes. It works for me!
