I just got my Fuell Mag and upon reading the fine print under the Homecoming dinky article it says " Tickets to AMA Suzuki Superbike Doubleheader at Road America will be for sale only on Friday, June 2 at the Buell Motorcycle Company in East Troy". Now, if that's how it's being handled, that is really stupid. No pre registering? No host Hotel or Dealership? Not doing a hospitality area? And if they are, how do they know I even own a Buell? Can anyone walk in? Maybe there is more information coming, but it doesn't say so in the article. What if you can't make it to the factory? Get your tickets on-line or whatever. BUT, what if when you purchase your tickets at the factory they give you a "PASS" for the hospitality area then? How about the people that don't get their tickets there?! What if this rant is a huge waste of time and all the answers are out there!? If someone knows, please share. But, as I said above, if this is how it's being done, it's really stupid. IMO. |

Homecoming is free this year, and you're bitching? How do the teeth on that gift horse look, anyway? |

Hey Rocco, Now the local clubs should step up and plan ONE event/ride etc per day and at nite a central gathering spot. Maybe a secret ride, with a "fun" ending. We are fortunate to live close to the factory and the Kettle, lets show it off. |

Hey Crusty, what the hell is exactly free? A tour of the plant? Big frickin' deal. That's free anytime. Last I looked you still have to pay for the race tickets. Nothing mentioned about a dinner or lunch or anything like in the past. Also no hospitality area mentioned like in the past. There is one mentioned for Daytona....SO that being said, unless they haven't released ALL the information, what exactly is free that can't be done ANYTIME for free. I'm not looking for a hand out. I'm more than willing to pay for the extras, but apparently there are none. |

Rocket, give it time before going off. The very least you could e-mail BRAG about it to find out more. I am thinking about trying to make this Homecoming this year before I join the military. Have to see how things go. |

First, I'm not going off. Ask my friends... this is tame. Anyway, I'm only looking knowing we won't hear anything until what....April. Not a lot of time for people to plan. Me? I've got my plans already made. Just want some more information and was hoping someone here knew something. God knows there won't be anything on Buells Website until the last minute an usual. All I know is if this was a HOG event, it would be set in stone by now. And due to the fact that the 2 ladies running all this are basically doing it in their spare time because they also run the HOG event set ups, I'm not expecting much more info. |

Crusty, Cataract things last year and prior years were more just a little more drawn out for us. Host hotel,Host dealer,Tickets were paid for and you could pick them up on any of the events days,Hospitality tent at the races,a dinner during one of the nights. Now some of these thing yes may surface but when the next Fuell mag that is April?? That doesn't give people from out town enough leway to set up vacation from there jobs.... just not enough to bite your teeth into yet. |

Well, have they announced who Peggy's replacement is yet? I know they were looking for a long time but never heard the end of that. Anybody know? I haven't gotten a Fuell in months. I'll have to call and see what's up with that. |

Can someone from the area there recomend a resort/hotel for the area around there? The west bend Inn was not too bad last year, but maybe there is a better or nicer place closer to the track. Thanks. It will be fun no matter what is planned. |

Look in downtown Elkhart Lake, there's a resort place to stay right on the lake. I think some of the Kenosha folks stayed there last year, check with them at http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/37/83918.html?1136875407 |

Was West Bend a location of choice last year because it was roughly halfway between Elkhart Lake and East Troy? From the you local's would it be best to stay close to East Troy the first couple of days of Homecoming, and then relocate near Elkhart Lake for the weekend races? |

There is a Country Inn and Suites on the exit to the factory at East Troy next to the interstate, use it as the "base" motel. Why not start there for Wed.evening. Thur- Do the factory tour/seminars with Erik and a ride to Milwaukee to the lakefront for dinner. Fri-Have a ride(s) or get a Battletrax set-up,or tour the engine plant. Friday nite a dinner/cookout/party/bikeshow. Then ride to the track area on Sat. Then locate a motel by the track ( thats gonna be tough now), to gather for Sat nite. Appleton is just north........ |

Coolice the Fuell mag says we have to pick up are race tickets Friday at the factory. I guess thats when the seminars and tour takes place. Like I said though things will materialize in coming weeks and next issue of Fuell but it should be drawn out now. Don't matter to me anymore I'll be at the races and staying at a resort that is filled with bikes all weekend of many variety.... Funny thing was last year I didn't see one custom chopper or Harley there unless it was a vintage....COOL!!! |

Ok I just got off the phone with Peggy and asked whats the deal with Homecoming this year. She told me this. 1.) There is no host Hotel this year or Dinner.... Bummer. 2.) There is no dealer events or a host dealer... bummer. 3.) What is being done is Friday lunch at the factory and tours, etc. You can also buy your tickets for the races at the factory that day. Hospitality area for BRAG will be at the races and you must be a BRAG member to enter(I seen many last year that weren't and they still entered.LOL.) What I'm going to do is buy my tickets on line right through Road America, still be at the factory that day but without having to purchase them that day I'll already have them. Peggy told me that anyone could do the same. |

Well this just blows. Dana, are there any sub-plans for a "private" Bueller party? No dinner or events, they should just call it a Buell factory open house... |

Pretty lazy I think. But, when there isn't any interest on BRAG'S part..... Is it possible that past events were such a waste that they decided not to do another one? What about my 10 year old son and Father-In-Law that were going to join us? They're not BRAG members. My renewal slip is sitting here and I am considering tossing it. Doesn't seem worth the price for a few 6 page magazines and services I will never use. We'll see I guess. Just really lazy on their part IMHO. |

Well in my opinion Dana, Spidey and Dennis showed them how it was done 3 years ago. I'd love to go but 5 days of riding is just not worth it at this point. Planned events are a lot of work and if the turnout is not there then its not worth doing. Find a hotel and have a large party. |
