Happy New Year to all of you guys! Waorgany, I think the wife will be so happy to see you that she'll let you get just about anything. But good luck anyway! Abomb, I agree with Electraglider, you have much work to do. Try the 'the YZF is like a sports car and the Uly is more like a SUV' approach. Good luck to you too! |

Snub13...Thanks I think that I will be good. I just wish that I could have one now to ride around here..lol..just kidding, rather just be able to see one and sit on it as well. Maybe my wife or some long lost rich relative I don't know yet will have one waiting for me in the garage when I return. Of course then I would be off again...woudl have to "break it in" over night so I could start riding it!!! Happy New Year...and sorry about all those yellow bikes out there, I heard a rumor (I am starting it now), that Buell is coming out with a Buell Blue one for 2007 I have seen the pics very cool, longer bottom fender too, extra side lights and a few other suprises as well. Happy riding. |

I have been doing pretty good on the convincing. I actually think I got her to agree that I need this bike over the weekend. Then on our way back home I lost the power steering pump in my Pathfinder which is a $500 setback. I don't know if I'll be able to commit by Jan 31, but hopefully by the time riding season is here I will have one in the garage. I really do want to ride one before I buy it anyway. Waorgany, thanks for all you're doing over there. My brother just got back from a year in Iraq in November. Hopefully you're not in too dangerous an area of Baghdad Happy New Year Guys! |

Abomb..you mean to tell me that there are safe areas here in Baghdad? I wish someone would have told me sooner. I am doing well, could be much worse. Thanks |

Daves, I'll keep you updated. Electroglider, huh? Waorgany, no, I didn't assume there were safe areas in Baghdad, just figured some areas were more dangerous than others. Take care. |

Abomb, Power steering by Armstrong. "Strong arms" to turn the steering wheel. My older brother used to say that a million years ago. |

Dave, So, is there any chance of getting a "long distance discount" on a orange Uly with your program? I'd be coming across a couple of states, need extra vacation days etc.... I guess I should ask if you have any of the Promotional 10 you mentioned left. I'd like to come, but it is a long drive and my "Supreme Allied Commander" doesn't like to drive after dark, I will have to travel during daylight hours! Please post if you have any left. I will be watching with great interest! |

Dave/All, Just want to thank you for putting this promotion together. It's a rare opportunity to get a chance to see the factory and meet the "head guy" when you purchase anything these days. This forum has convinced me that this bike will suit my needs better than what I was thinking before I started reading here. Thanks to all of you for sharing your experiences. Wiz |

Wiz, I already have people coming from as far away as Florida! You are only coming from MN, that's just a small hop. I do have some left available. I did just sign up another new ULY owner from IN! |

I was just in to the Buell/Harley dealer that is right next to where I work to get my fix over lunch. They've now moved the Buells from the center of the show floor all the way against the back wall. You wouldn't even know they were in there unless you purposely went all the way to the end of the store to see what all could be back there. I looked at the Ulysses for probably 20 minutes and not one of the salesmen left their post leaning on one of the displays to come and talk to me. This is why I will be knocking on Daves' door when it comes time for me to get my Buell. |

Grimace308/All, As I can tell you all would love to have photos and video of our travelling configuration, I must dash all your hopes and visualizations. I very seriously doubt that my significant other (Lord, keep her strong!)would allow me to run off and have all that fun myself. She has had some serious back surgery recently and isn't up to riding over a couple of hours, but she can drive, and loves to ride shorter distances, so I'm sure she would want to make the trip with me. Grimace308 Thanks very much for the offer, I do appreciate it! We are still in the discussion phase, so I haven't told Dave "hold that orange one for me" ..............yet. |

lmfao. thats a good thing wiz, because while im not homophobic, theres something wrong with 2 guys riding the same cycle...even if there are a backpack full of pillows between them. the thing was a buddy needed a ride to the shop to pick up his ducati and we were going riding afterword. picture 2 guys, with jackets, helmets, gloves and stuff, on the back of an overladen cbr954rr, putting over to the shop with the guy on the back about to fall off because the rider has so much "insulation" between them. its kind of an inside joke, but we had fun on the ride afterwords. it does conjure up images of dumb and dumber though. chris |

My wife gave birth my our son 18 Jan. The GS is for sale, I've had some bites. I need to follow up on them. If one pans out, then it's Uly time! I was going to stop by and say HI in person Dave on my way back from the UP. But things with the kiddo's arrival got going early. The trip home needed to be ASAP, which means detour free. |

Congrats Steven! We had our little girl on Oct. 14, and the little lady was good enough to let me pick up my Uly a couple weeks beforehand. I congratulate you on your new son, you outstanding choice in women, and hopefully soon on your new Uly! |
