With reports coming through of 7 more Americans killed today in Iraq I doubt that country harbours a safe place for anyone serving out there. Great to see you home safe and sound Southern Marine. Rocket |

"I doubt that country harbours a safe place for anyone serving out there." Since when was war or serving in a security role during a terrorist led insurgency ever "safe"? |

Fallujah, where Southern Marine was stationed, was certainly no safe zone. But outside of the Sunni triangle and Syrian border Iraq is apparently pretty darn safe. How many murders in London in 2005? I bet more than in Basra. |

Southern, Thanks for your service and a VERY hearty Welcome Home! On a simular note, my son comes home on Saturday! Haven't seen him for about a year. He is very much looking forward to getting away from his boat for a while. Unknown to him, he has the big "S2" suprise waiting for him. I can't wait till he figures it out! Too bad he won't be able to ride until his next visit home... Southern, be careful the first few times back in the saddle, we don't want any "accidents". Hmmm, that might even pertain to motorcycles! Geez,Blake, give Rocket a break. He was just welcoming SM home not insulting anybody. And I agree with him as there being no "safe" place for our troops over there. |

I *think* it will be available from windows update... More info at: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/advance.mspx The update will probably also be available from: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=21169 (Message edited by reepicheep on January 05, 2006) |

The patch is available from windows update (start-> control panel-> Windows Update (on left)) Keep choosing "express" until it says there are no more high priority updates available. I mean it about this vulnerability, your machine can get totally owned by just viewing an image... in some cases you don't even have to actually view it. Attacks are in the wild now, some very nasty and very targeted. Two months from now, when all the customers of my company that did not install this patch figure out they have been completely compromised, I am going to dissapear for two months cleaning up the mess |

Hey Southern, you do anything about that quiet bike of yours yet LOL! I'm sure mama will let you get a Drummer or D&D as a welcome home present. Glad you're back brother. You up for Gunny this year? Pick it up over there? May be my year??? One can hope. |

Bill, A co-worker and I were able to build an exploit using "off the shelf" code in less than 10 minutes! This one has the potential to be VERY bad. I wish I had all the time back we've spent this past week on this one. A real pain. We started on it last week before the new years break. Everyone, PATCH YOUR PC's!!!!! ANY Windows operating system is at risk. (Maybe not windows 3.1, I don't remember for sure) Brad |
