It is a "Powers" crash cage. The make em for stunters, but seeing how I have only been on a bike for 2 months now I wanted good protection to my nice new bike. I saw how all other sliders just broke/did damage to bike, so went with a crash cage. Have not put the bike down, thank god. As for stuntin, my roomie has been ridin for 10+ years and is into stuntin. He is thinkin of buying it off me now that I feel more comfortable and less prone to dumping bike. |

The factory frame pucks seem to do an outstanding job, though you probably want to also add some Dark Horse axle sliders as well. That setup would be a lot less invasive / disruptive to the overall look of the bike, and would probably protect almost as well. |

Yeah, but at time of purchase of the cage the pucks were either not out or just came out w/ no hard evidence as to how kick they are...so I went with a definite protection route. I plan on taking the cage off. I have the CF frame protectors as well as ordered the pucks. Am planing on making my own axle sliders... |

The three standing across the front all have Dunlops. Probably from Michigan. I hope they were friendly! (Sorry, I couldn't resist either!) |

Oh yeah. Two Ulys at Barber's this last weekend for the AHMRA event. Gilbert (closest Uly) was up from Savannah, GA. He's modified the wind screen a bit and fabricated a mount for GPS and other items. He said it was a quickie mount and will clean it up in short order. He's had his Uly a week. Usually my bother's '68 Triumph T100C draws a crowd but this weekend it was the Ulysses. Lot's of questions and tons of terrific feedback. Many folks interested in the bike but having a hard time finding one. The guys at the local Triumph-Ducati-BMW dealership were very excited to see the Uly. Okay, back from Iraq and had to change the color of my bike. It was the "red", check my profile. I used scarlet Rit dye and mixed it with some black and soaked the plastics to get this. I have the Buell American Motorcycle logo's on their way. |
