Erasing like they were really biting the pavement. Could be an inflation issue. If I remember correctly could be under inflated. The bike has really ridden hard. The owner must be really enjoying himself. |

I've had that happen to mine and I've heard it's either an inflation issue or pushing too hard before they're heated up. The outer part of the rubber heats up and get soft, but the deeper part stays cool/hard longer so the outer part tears off. |

Bart, Just a reminder, when I drove to the vintage races in Albuquerque on May 1st 2004 pulling the trailer, I drove through 3 hours of blowing snow and rain. Morning riding temp the next couple of days was below 40. Later in May is definetly better. Hope I can make it. |

I know I'll be toasty regardless of the temps. Since it's been in the teens every morning when I left for work this past week, I've gone out and bought an electric vest, gloves, and pants liner. Can't let a little think like cold weather stop you from riding. At least there IS a cure! Now what do you do when it's too hot outside? (MOVE!) |

Hey Bartimus! I haven't checked this thread in a while. Apparantly I was missing out... lol. Anyway, I'm glad to hear that your being so active with organizing events for the southwest. I'll be sure to attend as many of those as I can. It's always fun to ride with you and lift a few. And yeah, if you want to send me one or two copies of FUELL, that would be great. I could only find one extra copy. I'll actually be mailing a package for you on Monday that has a little thank you for putting up with me when I came over to NM. Well I have to stop screwing around here and head to the track. My bikes prepped, hopefully I don't wreck it on my first track day! See you all later! K |

But I had time to make a snowman, before going to work, LOL Can't wait to feel some weather above 65 degrees! |

Rex, I saw your post on the quick board also. What part of town do you live in? on the east side, there is Chandler Custom cycles on Arizona ave, in Chandler. They charge about $45 an hour. You can take it to one of the Stealerships, but you'll pay about $75 an hour for a simple carb adjustment. More than likely you just need to adjust your airspeed screw. I assume both your bikes are tubers? Also make sure you have new plugs that are gapped properly and premium gas in the tank, and that the bike is completly warmed up before you go to emissions. |

Why would he do that Charlie? I never went back to have my carb re-adjusted "rich" after passing emissions. Why would you want your bike to run rich anyway? I say leave it alone after it passes, and just ride it. After all, you'll have to pass again next year... |

Hey Bart! Hey Kelly! Long time no talk! (well mostly Kelly) Wonder how you both are doing - I have about 10 extra copies of that Fuell Mag we are in almost all of the pictures LOL but uncredited! ugh! but it's cool anyway. Get this, my fiance's old commander (think Army)okay commander's wife's dad works for Buell, and they just "happened" to have 10 copies of Fuell. small world! Anyway I *may* be coming down to snottsdale to stay for a few months. There is a school that I want to attend that starts in March and ends in May. To make this happen I A.Need to find a job there for only those months B.Need to find a place to stay C.Need to get my bike there too. If you have any connections, hook me up! Too cool Kate, What kind of work do you do? My step brother lives there and has a spare bedroom on the west side of town by 43rd Ave. and Thunderbird. I can help you get your bike over there if need be. I'll be up your way in the end of January to pick up the S2. I'll ping you later in the week. Nice picture, do you have any high resolution copies? If so, email one to me. Bart |

Hey bart- I have 2 email addresses for you... which one is right? I have some pics with you in them and a ton with Kelly - If you just want all the pics I've got I can make you a cd instead. I am supposed to be going to this Equine Massage Therapy school - but only if they get VA approved. It should be a snap because all they have to do is fill out some paperwork, but they have been dragging their feet. If they can't then this whole thing will be a No-Go. Let me know when you are up here and maybe we can go for a ride! |

Hi Kate! Great pic! And yes I'm really interested in any pictures you have. A CD would be great if it's not to much trouble. I could help you with the job department. I work for a chain of convenience stores. I could easily put a word in and make sure you at least get an interview. Hours would be whatever you want. I don't know of anyone with a room except for what Bart mentioned. I'll be moving myself in a month, hopefully into a house this time, and if there's an extra room you are welcome to it. But you'd have to "deal" with my brother, our friend, and myself all living there. Nice talking to you. Good luck with all that's going on in your life! |

I have to forgive you for being so crazy to join the Marines!! ha ha - my best friend... uh.. Charlie (go figure) is a former Marine as well, so we exchange a lot of ribbing... Anyways good to meet you! (by the way you look so surprised in your picture!) |

But it's all good, I'd ride in front of, or behind, or next to you any day!!! Same goes for Kate, she's a good rider, and looks REAL good hanging them corners. OOH-RAH !!! |
