Guys just installed my D@D on my new xb12r. I fired it up and I must say I was disipointed. I choose this pipe cause I read a lot of people say this pipe was very loud?? I was thinking when i fired it up it was going to blow the windows out of the house lol .I just took it down the street for a test ride and i cant go over 2500rpms casue of break in. I am hopeing that once rev"ed up that it will get loud? can anyone tell me? thanks |

Don't worry -- it'll sound great. Once the bike gets to temperature, you should be able to take it to 4500 - 5000 rpm without hurting anything. Factory break-in is overly cautious -- IMHO... |

When it is fully ridable, let a friend take for a spin down the road a piece and you'll "Get it" |

"I think they sound awesome." I agree 100%. The best sounding pipe I've ever heard on a Buell IMO. Although I must admit, I've never heard a force. It loud enough that after a couple of hours of hard riding, your ears will probably ring. Ear plugs may be necessary. |

I have tried most the pipe's for the buell and the D&D is the best sounding , the only time I think it is not quite loud enough, is when I am around my harley buddy's with thier strait pipes. |

Just let it warm up and ride it! You'll like how it sounds. A Force sounds best but you don't have to worry about a D+D breaking. I have about 200 miles on my XB9S. When I'm on it I'm having too much fun to worry about the RPM thing. |

If you are not going any higher than 2500 RPMs, then you haven't experienced the D&D yet. Just wait till that puppy hits 4 grand! |

I love the sound of my D&D. A friend rode it one time and it sounded like a pissed off V-8 coming down the road. |

Yep Find a nice LONG EMPTY straight. Stand on the side of the road and let a friend go by AT 100mph. I did it and it sounded 100 times better then when your ON the bike at 100mph. |

You can't really get the full affect of any of the pipes while riding it. The proof comes when people turn their heads to look at you before they even see you |

It also sounds TOTALLY different when your'e riding it and when u let someone else ride it. Let a buddy make a 100mph pass and you'll think built chevy 350. But when your riding it n get on it it sounds real raspy from up there. |
