Nothing could be more appropriate to wish fellow badwebber's and Bueller's a Merry Christmas than a couple pictures of the Buell factory taken a little earlier tonight. Merry Christmas All, 1313 |

tbolt, i really cant tell you very much about it, i saw it for sale on ebay not long ago, but cant remember much about it. i just deleted the add a few days ago. i know it was raked and lowered with wheelie bars and all, but dont remember how. i am fairly sure the cut the neck and raked it, the triple tree's dont look like a raked set. if they raked it with the tree's to get that much extra angle the bottom tree would have to be fairly wider than it looks to be in that pick. but i could be wrong(there's always a first time, lol). i remember enough to know that if i wouldn't have just bought my second xb alittle while ago i would have tried for that bike. by the way yours looks sharp! |

Rice, Thanks for the reply. Wish I had seen that ebay ad too. My bike was stripped down to do some mock up and measuring for similar mods as that one, but for street use. Your bikes are pretty bad a$$. Like what you do at your shop too, I checked the website. LOVE the turbine bike! Just to quell my want...rough estimate on $$? here's one more shot of the mock up.

well to give you an idea, if YOU wanted to buy the motor in that bike its about $86,000, fresh rebuild and flight worthy. i got a crash course in turbines with that thing since my friemd(shop owner) and i tore it down and rebuilt it in the shop. definate learning experiance. even got to make my own throttle(made it for like 2.00, lol)for it since those engines are made to start and go instantly to wide open. first show out the bike had been done for maybe 6 hrs and we got offered 150,000. give you an idea?!!!!!! especially since i could barely have bought a new 12 for what we actually have into it. the frame is my favorite part of that bike. i built it without even having a motor yet to look at. whole bike ways under 300pnds with 300horse and 300pnd ft of torque off idle we currently just started on another extremely prostreet style turbine bike at the moment. it has basically the same motor as leno's Y2K, except for another hundred or so horse more! |

what did you think of it? did you get lucky enough to catch it at the weld racing booth on the main drag when it was melting the brand new parking lot did you happen to see its twin there too? the custom vrod we had there too. i hardly saw any buells, much less xb's running around there. |

i thought the bike was awesome! sadly i did not get to see it melt pavement or its twin. as far as seeing other buells, you just got to know wear to look. usually on wed night every one from bad web meets up at hooters.
