well I din't it hard to get them more than about 500$ down off msrp but you gotta go for stuff like bags, free first service, even ask for a free tshirt man! But honestly whatever price you can live with is a great price on a an awesome bike! |

I copied Daves promotion and brought it to my dealer. They matched it as far as buying the bike, bags and seat. Since you're not that far from Appleton, I'd suggest dealing with Dave. He's an enthusiast, and will give you a fair deal. |

good advice, thanks man. the first thing i did after registering was to pm dave about buying the orange hornet. if i dont go through dave (possibilities exist), do you think eleven five out the door with the shop eating licensing and taxes, dealer prep with 25% off parts, accessories, labor for 1 year...think thats too much? ill wait to see what super dave offers before this gets out of control. thanks, chris |

Grimace308...I think that sounds resonable...I will more than likely get mine from Dave when I return from my current location...There aren't any servicing dealers here in Baghdad who are putting together any better deal than that of Daves. Best of luck. |

I got a great "price", but as I stated before I would have preferred the great "deal" I could gotten if I had bought it through a dealer that really cares about selling and riding Buells. It would have been worth a grand more to me just to have somewhere to go, and not be looked down upon by the HD crowd. If I was close to Daves, it probably would have come from him. |

one of the finest soldiers, an person, that any of you will have the pleasure of meeting in this lifetime. if you have the pleasure of meeting him, buy him a steak and a beer and you can bill me later. the purchase went as smoothly as a non-poker playing fool can negotiate and i walked away with a low seat and the full bag kit as part of the deal. for those of you still on the fence, orange is a far superior color vs black. some of us have style and some of us wish they did. Grimace: I was with you up until you bought a yellow Uly.... Well maybe I wasn't with you after all. I like the 30-06, the black Uly and Christmas vs. festivus. Wait a tic....wouldn't a black Uly go better with a black baret? |

snub13, i left mother green in 98' and we still had the c-cap back then. dang you steelers. i love the garand (30-06) but the m14 (308) favorite. i paid an interesting number for the whole set up, but in retrospect, the loan amount doesnt concern me. a couple hundred dollars over the course of 3 years is inconsequential and it might have made the sales guys day. i would prefer to be known as the cool guy who bullsh...uhh...talks to the guys and is easy going instead of the guy who complains about everything and tries to save 3 nickles, but pisses everyone off in the process. chris |

to be quite honest, he made my day and i still paid less than retail. i think many of you would be happier if you had purchased the far superior orange version of the uly. |

It didn't take you long did it Slayer. Grimace, I have to agree...It' a bargain at twice the price! I got off of active duty in '89 and we still used the woodland cammo (remember the cold war?) I had forgotten that the Rangers now were a tan beret....I think they should have held out and kept the black ones.... |

If it is, it is not giving any indication of speed. Was this pic taken just as you were falling over? |

For all of the color freaks out there, any one who was around the SOG in the 70's knows that BLACK was the only way to go........ As for the wind sock....only 8"???? As for the corner pick.....It doesn't matter what he's on, this guy is fast!!!!!!! |

WHAT!..... WHAT! Dragon. I hope Opto looks at this pic, he keeps asking me why I am not as comfortable on Uly as I was on the XB12S two -up. The XB12S would talk to you as a pillion, it was a rougher ride plus Opto would back off on rough stuff and I was geared for that not. Uly is pure rider/bike and as a pillion you truly are along just for the ride. By that I mean, Opto knows Uly can tip in and glide through the rough stuff, but I am still anticipating the old reaction of slowing down and I swear Opto is tipping in lower and lower and lower and going faster and faster and faster!!! |
