I found this over at the Airtech site: http://www.motorcyclebodywork.com/miscpages/cool.html This is Kents version of what Eric Buell should have built. Yes it is kind of a Harley only LOTS better! It has a twin span all aluminum tube chassis with oil contained inside the frame. The fully adjustable rear suspension has a WP dampner as well as White Paper forks. The motion was supplied by the race dept. at S & S and measures 100 inches with over 118 HP turning an Andrews close ratio tranny. The wheels and stoppers are PM's best and is all topped off with Kent's beautifully sculpted carbon fiber bodywork. Look for it in the magazines soon. |

This is Kents version of what Eric Buell should have built it seems a lot of folks have an idea of what EB should build. Wonder if he ever takes offense? |

it seems a lot of folks have an idea of what EB should I have often wondered what he thinks when he reads that sort of thing. I am sure he just puts that info in his memory bank and takes it for what it's worth. His new bikes seem to have incorporated a lot of ideas that came from what folks have been saying on this site the past couple of years. |

Every time someone builds something you get a ton of people coming out to say what they "should" have built. Well, if those people feel that this is what they "should" have built I say rather than talking they SHOULD start doing. BTW, that bike looks like just another carbon copy of the standard sportbike. Exhaust is even on the side. WTF? (Message edited by Cataract2 on December 23, 2005) |

I noticed that too Dave. That must be a pretty complicated system. That bike could be pretty cool, but I'm not really a fan of those fairings. Those ram air spots and the mold of what looks like an air cleaner kind of ruin it for me. More power to the builder though. I would love to see something different on the street. I do like the streetfighter GSX-R on the airtech site a lot more than the rest of the stuff they have there. (Message edited by Olinxb12r on December 23, 2005) |

That's a really nice looking sportsbike and if you think any different you're bigoted or blinkered, or both. The spec is very high and it's styled pretty exotically too. Just because it isn't a Buell? Please! Someone tell me what's wrong with it? Rocket |

I don't like the view from the back. The front is stylish, but the tail looks dated. |

Just because it isn't a Buell? Please! Someone tell me what's wrong with it? Not everyone likes full fairing bikes. It's an opinion, not bigotry. |

Some ding-dong who thinks he's a sculptor trying to tell an engineer how to build a bike. Hey pal, you're neither!! |

Well it's a shame Buell didn't use the same philosophy. How many times have we heard a cry on the BadWeB for a exotic Buell? If it said Buell on the side, you'd be all over it like a rash. That's a great effort at making a powerful V twin, with transmission, suspension etc to match, and a fully enclosed GP style fairing. Obviously it's capable of 129mph, just standing still, and more, which is way too fast for the safety lobbyist's amongst you. No wonder such bigotry exists on the BadWeB. Rocket |

Dang Rocket, sounds like you'er trolling. if you think any different you're bigoted or blinkered, or both. I'm bigoted or blinkered, or both, if I don't think like you do? I bought a naked bike, all the bikes I've bought are naked bikes, I waited for Buell to come out with the XB9S, because the XB9R wasn't for me, the airtech is ugly to me, and for this I'm bigoted or blinkered, or both? For you to say such a thing makes you what? Judgemental? Never mind, I just looked at your weather, sorry m8, maybe things'll be nicer soon... |

"Obviously it's capable of 129mph, just standing still, and more, which is way too fast for the safety lobbyist's amongst you. No wonder such bigotry exists on the BadWeB" Someone has a burr up his saddle. I don't think the bike will go anywhere without a drive chain but hey, I am no mechanic. I think the color is ugly (mustard was never my favorite) and it looks fat, kind of like the fairing on a 'busa. That must make me bigoted? |

I own a fully-faired (and then some) inline-4 bike from Japan and a couple Buells. I think the bike looks old (but not enough to be cool like the new wicked cool Ducs) and ugly (but not ugly enough to be cool like a Ural). 'course I also think the Katana's are ugly (I bring up the Katana as the intake for the turbo reminds me of the Katana's air-intake) as are the 999 Ducs so what do I know. what's with the goofy-looking bulge at the top of the windscreen? and the "reverse mud guard" curve in front of the rear tire? With the fully-faired front and super-minimal tail it looks unbalanced. And lets face it - the paint sucks. Throw some graphics in to break up the otherwise boring sideview (and I'd do the turbo bulge in black to hide it). |

My question is, which engine? Is it Sporty based? Most S&S engines are based on the Big Twin. Sorry, but for sporting purposes, the Big Twin is all but useless. You think Buell redlines are low? The stock Big Twin redlines at 5400 RPM. Plus the motor is WAY larger and heavier than the Sporty motor. If that's what it's using, it's an overweight pig. I've never understood why rodding up the Big Twin is so popular, when the Sporty motor is so much more suitable, guess it's a chopper thing. I suppose they do make rodded Sporty engines too, I don't know. Nor can I tell by looking with all of that ugly plastic on there. |

Josh don't think thats a turbo under that buldge in the fairing. It looks like the S&S tear drop air cleaner you see a lot on the big twins. |
