I did have both eyes done at the same time. I could probably pass a BMV eye test. |

Cool Chad! I'd like to have it done, but I'm sure I'd still need reading glasses. Sucks turning into an old geez!

Somebody needs to jump on Motoboss' X1! That's a good buy. If I hadn't already bought the XB, I'd go for it. Good luck selling it Ron.

Hey Pete, did ya see the Buell Homecoming announcement on the quickboard? Looks like May 31 thru June 4. I won't be at the meeting Sat., but count me as a tentative yes for going to Homecoming.

Fasted/Indy: I've been to the Chicago show. Did a 1-day up and back. Very doable. If the weekend doesn't work for some reason check out the St. Louis date. It's about the same distance. |

Yep I saw the post about Homecoming. Nothing official on the Buell Website yet but you can be pretty sure it will be the first week of June. Those of you that missed the meeting today really missed out. We were lucky enough to be treated to a suspension clinic by the head Buell Tech, Joe, who also is the Crew Chief for the racing team. He was kind enough to put our bikes up on the lift and set suspensions for us. Lee, one of the riders on the racing team was also there and gave us some great info on how to ride in the corners. It was a great meeting and I hope that we get to spend more time with these guys in the future. Everyone that wasn't there today, please contact Ron so we can get our membership list together. We have to file the paperwork with BRAG by the end of December. We'll need your BRAG member number. If you don't have one right now, contact Ron anyway and talk to him about when you should get one. Remember, you can't participate in any of the official B.R.A.G. events if you aren't a paid member of B.R.A.G. Beleive me, there are things coming up next year that you don't want to miss! I know interest is waning a bit because of the cold weather, but I want all of you to know that the Club is forging ahead with ideas on how to make next year a great one. June and July in particular will be full of things for us to do! For starters, Homecoming at the beginning of June, and Pridemore school the week after that. In July we will be having our annual track day. More info on that and other events will be coming. 2006 is going to be a great year for Hoosier Thunder Club! One more thing, the motorclothes department has been stocking up on Buell items. The rack is chock full! All kinds of great new stuff, and some discontinued things as well. Make sure you check it out. Ask for Traci, she's got the lowdown on everything. |

Thanks to everyone who made the Thunder Club meeting on Saturday. Joe was happy to "set up" everyones bike who wanted help. Really an informative session. We did a small ride on old 37 on the way out. Did anyone notice a difference on the ride? We will cover "storage concerns" at the next meeting to help those who want to put their bikes to bed for the winter. Additionally, we want everyone to be thinking of "ride's, events and things to do" that we can discuss at the next meeting. Meeting just once a month time gets ahead of us quickly and solving issues now is a way to enjoy the events we plan together. As Indy Bueller noted, there are some great events on the table and we need to get everyone on the list as an "official" B.R.A.G member. Remember we do not have a local dues to pay, you must only be a member of the National B.R.A.G. in good standing to be a Thunder Club Member. We are looking forward to a great 2006, which makes this coming winter that much harder for all. Lets ride while we can and stay involved during the cold months to keep our spirits up. Currently, we have a group of guys (4) whom are going to the Cycle World Show in Chicago. We go up Friday evening and stay at a Motel connected to the Rosemont Center. Anyone interested in attending with us, join in. As always, the more the merrier! Once again, Thank You to all. "Riding Smart-Riding Safe" |

When is the Cycle World show? I noticed a difference in the way my bike handled....I had it most of the way there already but Joes expertise gave it the last little shove that it needed. Lees riding tips helped me out alot too. I was really surprised how well I could keep up my speed in the corners on old 37. |

Sorry I couldn't make it to the meeting this past Saturday. I had my surgery on the friday before the meeting and I was still a little out of it. The surgery went good and I'm healing quite nicely. I should be back on a bike soon. I have my eyes on a bike that my friend is wanting to sell. It's a 03 buell xb9s. I just need to know how to get a hold of Ron to make sure I'm on the member list. All those who are not sure of their status in the Thunderbike Club should email your name and B.R.A.G national membership number to me so I can make sure you are on the list. I will hold off on submitting the list until after the December meeting, which we hope to see everyone there. Thanks "Ride Smart-Ride Safe" |

Who plans on Homecoming '06? 2006 will be my third! As an activities director, I'd like to get some ideas for events. I for 1 would suggest a Blue Ridge Parkway/ Deal's Gap even if National BRAG doesn't have an event there. Once you have ridden down there, you tend to lust after it. I went to the BRAG Runnin' the Ridge adventure Sept 2004. It was the best 2 wheel experience of my life! Anyways, start throwing out ideas and I'll make a list and we can start narrowing it down from there. Happy Holidays, Chad! By the way, I got my nickname "Skeeter" on a Homecoming trip. Very funny story. |

Lots of great stuff came out of the meeting on Saturday. First off, we need to get cookin on coming up with a logo for the club. We want to have t-shirts and everything else made by July, so we need to have it ready in January in so we can get everything ordered in time. In time for what? Well..... July is going to be a BIG month for us. I'm sure everyone knows by now that we are having a track-day. The track-day will be on Sunday, July 2nd. But that isn't all we are doing that weekend. At the dealership Jeff, Jim and Ron are planning a Battletrax, an Advanced Riding course, a demo fleet, and possibly a stunt team (Ill Conduct or Teem E-Treem) daredevil Bubba Blackwell, and MORE! A little birdie told me that Erik himself might be invited. This is BIGTIME folks. Jeff is going all-out on this and I feel like we need to ante up and throw in our support. The dealership will need volunteers to help pull all this off, not to mention the fact that we will want a Hoosier Thunder Club booth set up to pass out info and take names. We'll need folks to lead demo rides no doubt, and I'm sure there will be much more. As the date gets closer we'll have more detailed info on where and when we can help out, but for right now I need a tenative list of people that will be willing to pitch in. P.S. Did anyone happen to get Don's email when he rode with us last time? I seem to have misplaced it.... |

Wow, I forgot the most important thing. We need to pick a charity folks. One that we can do rides in support of. Lets try to choose something original, but not something no one has ever heard of. Suggestions? |
