Hello all. I'm new here and I'm very interested in the uly. Currently I ride a Duc Multistrada but I am ready to test ride a uly. Can any of you recommend a dealership in NC or close by that you trust? Thanks Chris |

Either come to Wisconsin and see me(best choice) or go to Stone Mountain, they are also a sponsor here. Check out my "Ride your Uly to the U.P." promotion. and welcome to Badweb! |

Thanks Dave! I did check out the U.P. promotion and am interested but Wisconsin is a bit of a ride for me. Is that Stone Mountain Georgia or NC? I really want one but I need to get a fair trade in price. Again, Thanks! |

A 2004 Ducati Multistrada. 3000 miles with a lot of extras. Dealer maintained, never dropped, adult owned, garage kept, yadda yadda. DP comfort seat, DP performance kit (Termi exhaust, open air box & filter, ecu) & Sil headers, Givi top box, DP mirrors, gel grips. Make me an offer that I cannot refuse! |

Slacker- I have had bad experiences with Blue Ridge, Carolina HD and Tilley's. If I had it to do over again I would have gone to Wisconsin but I can't get away from the job site for very long at a time. Contact me privately if you want details. |

Tilley's in Statesville use to be big in Buells. If you want to travel East, there is a HD/Buell dealership in Greensboro and Burlington. The dealer I bought my Uly from was Sheltons' HD/Buell. I believe they have two Uly's in stock now. They have four stores though out eastern North Carolina. The further west is in Durham NC. |

I've never personally delt with with Tilleys, but they are a sponsor of this site. So they at least care about Buells, and they aren't too far from you. Ray Price in Raleigh has a Uly in stock as well. |

Dave, Trust me, i want more for it that you will give me! I'm seriously thinking about selling it myself but this is kinda a bad time of the year to sale. I like the bike but the maintanance cost is pretty high and I like the uly better. Do you seriously want a ducati? I'm really not sure when I would have time to get it to you and do the deal. Job is killing me right now but will be better at the end of the year and I have jr on the way in the middle of Jan. Don't get me wrong, I want the uly now but i think i will have to wait until march or so unless you really want a duc. Chris |

Got mine at Greensboro Harley Davidson. Last time I was in there, couple weeks ago, they had an orange one. They have a good Buell section there, several guys who work there have tubers. When I got mine they were not letting the Uly out for test rides, but they said I could ride it up and down the service road if it would be a deal breaker. Tilleys is supposed to be good, but when I was shopping for mine they wouldn't do test rides, either. |

Slackcat, Where are you located? Once we get that narrowed down we can probably help you out. The C3 bunch in the RDU area have a good handle on that part of the state. I'm centrally located between Tilley's, Carolina, and Blue Ridge and two of the three are good. Location, location, location,,,,,,,,,,,,,, G2 <edit on> I would add that I've ordered parts from Daves for HD and Buell and saved money and received some excellent customer service. If I could sale a bike or two I would probably just keep it in the family and go see Daves -- never been to Wisconsin. (Message edited by bigdaddy on December 01, 2005) |

Bigdaddy, I'm in Charlotte NC. I've been to the Charlotte HD/Buell dealer but it sounded like they were dropping buells and didn't really want to give me the time of day. I'm not opposed to driving a bit if I get good service and the dealer doesn't treat me like a 2nd class citizen because it is a buell and not a HD. Thanks, Chris |

Slack cat - I traded an '01 Tiger in on a Uly. I pulled all 3 bags, service stand and anything else extra I had on it and sold on ebay. Made an additional $1300 which brought me just above to high book (NADA) value after all was said and done. DAve |

Nobody mentioned it, but Tilley HD/Buell in Statesville is a sponsor of this board. They used to have a very Buell-friendly salesman that participated on this board, but he no longer works there. I have no idea how Buell-friendly they are now but they are still listed as a BadWeb sponsor. They're right off of I-77. |

Slackcat, You're very close then -- I'm on the north side of Lake Norman. I've never had any luck with the Charlotte shop. Speedway, in Concord, isn't worth the drive up I85 unless you're going to BassPro Shop anyway -- the multi brand car lots that financed that one is very apparent. I've bought bikes from Tilleys and I have no complaints with the sales staff or the service department. I've also bought from Carolina, in Gastonia, and IMHO their service is the best. If I were to recommend one over the other I'd go with Carolina,,,YMMV. PM me if you want some names/specifics and I'll try to help you out. I could even meet you at one , or the other, and introduce you around. G2 |

I would go to Appleton's in WI...Dave will make it worth the trip. But if not try driving 45 minutes East to RMT ... I used to live there and they are pretty good people who own and run that shop. www.rockymounthd.com I'd atleast give them a call. Good luck. |

And there is something that confuses a lot of people. There is an Appleton's HD in TN. That is not us! We are HD/Buell of Appleton in Appleton WI Our parts and stuff get shipped to each other once in a while from the factory. |

Gitrdone I've been by Tilleys about 8 times just to see a uly and both they had comeing in were sold before i could see them. Can't afford one now but wanted to dream. They had a o612ss on the floor, the seat looks passenger freindly my 03xb9s sure isn't. I only live about 15 miles from them. When Bubba was there he delt Buells only.they aren't quite as buell frendly now but still have great buell techs.some parts I needed I thought should be stocked i had to order. over all a great dealer.Speaking of speedway harley in Concoed I bought my Buell thre in aug 03 afrend was buy aVrod and we worked it out and got better price. In aug 04 went back down there to speed way to talk about trading the buell on a harley and the same sales man wouldn't even talk about trade said they didnt like Buells and laughed about me haveing one. stillhave the buell he actully did me a favor.Tilly would trade but Idecided to keep it and be differt |

Hello, this is Spiky in Lenoir, NC. Just thought I'd mention my experience with Crossroads Harley Davidson / Buell in Wilkesboro, NC. They are about 30 miles from Statesville (intersection of I77 / I40). They do all my service on my 02 Cyclone and I can't say enough good things about their service/parts dept. A # of their employees ride Buells. They are very courteous and helpful. Not sure if they have the new Uly in stock yet but in my opinion they are hard to beat. I.E. when I got my M2 they didn't have one in stock but very willing to take the time to tell me about the bike, service requirements etc. I think it would definitely be worth your time to check with them. Take care and ride safe. |

Yep....Appleton's HD/Buell is just up the road from me. They are in Clarksville, TN. The Appleton family has owned that shop for years. Sadly, as big as Nashville is, we have no more active Buell dealers. Only Appleton's in Clarksville and Bumpus in Mufreesboro still sell Buells. So...I guess that means I get mail order parts and stuff from Daves! |
