While I'm going to fix my tuber transmission,sometimes first gear jumps out,I want to lighten the engine sprocket. See picture. My 2001 Cyclone service manual says,I only have to remove the bolts and then to press the sprocket out of the rotor. I used a hydraulic press but I couldn't separate the two parts.The sprocket shaft was not coming out,but the rotor began to bent,although it was well supported. Do I have to heat the parts?I'm afraid the adhesive, which holds the magnets wouldn't like to much heat.What is the trick? I've not had any problems pressing the sprocket out of the rotor. It takes quite a bit of pressure and I did loose a couple of magnets on the first assembly I did.
