Odie is a great guy and makes a great product. I have one of his SPECIAL OPS pipes on my 12 and love it. I ended up with the Special OPS pipe, stock ecm and TFI box. bike starts right up even when cold and pulls hard with no flat spots. Sounds really good too. |

So how would the upgrade be with just odie pipe, k&n filter but stock ecm? Any troubles to report of? |

Buckstar, my OPS ran best with that setup, also with no snorkel but inner airbox intact. |

Mine has no mods except for the OPS pipe -- runs strong. The guys at SMHD seem to believe that you either take JUST this step (muffler ONLY) or go FULL BOAT with the K&N, Race ECM, Techlusion. No in-between for them.
Just another opinion for you -- but, whatever you do, get the Special Ops pipe.
My 2 cents on the noise level: It NEVER gets anywhere near obnoxiously loud -- not even close to a straight pipe setup in volume. |

Guzzimon, did you leave your snorkel in?
I've heard that the pipe with stock ecm, & a K&N works really well with the snorkel left in. I'm wondering if this is true. It'll be a long long time before I can get a pipe but it gives me plenty of time to research.  |

The snorkel is in. Nothing else til EVERYTHING gets tweaked -- and that'll be soon...
Best $250 I ever spent.......... |

For SIX YEARS, I've lived in the same house. Every day I pass by a collision repair shop on my way home.
LOUD Guzzis and Ducatis -- great exhaust notes -- and nary a stare. RODE by on the Firebolt with Odie's pipe installed, and everybody looke up and gave a thumbs up sign.
Not that I care -- but it was nice.
