You can see if West Tek still makes the billet front shock mount - it moves the mount rearward and drops the bike while keeping the shock you have now. http://www.cjnetworks.com/~westtek/ For the front, you can slip the tubes up, or change the springs and/or spring spacers. |

Dave, If you're serious about it, check Pingleonline.com thay sell a wheelie bar kit for the S3 that comes with a lowering strut I have a "used" Westek (as shown above)lowering bracket I would be willing to part with make me an offer. |

Thanx Sam, Pingle has some awsome stuff!by the way your bike is the bomb! what do you think about my tail idea, I see you cut your tail off nice and short, nice! here's a link to the tail I wanna use http://www.britnett.net/adrenalinmoto/listings/67.html I talked to Matt over there and he said to cut the tail off, just behind where the two tubes meet as this is really the only difference between the S3 and M2, now if i could see both frames side by side, I'll know for sure! I think it will look good with the fairing, then lower it a bit, and extend the swing arm maybe ,then for some more power. It's my first sport bike , had two iron sporters and an FLH chopper shovelhead all built by me, so I'm not afraid to cut stuff up! Again love your ride, the air scoops are really cool might try that too, but for now I'm saving my green for winter mods, those are long winters up here in WI, how did you change that tail anyways, thats really cool! |

I don't know what you would use for shorter springs - all the after market springs I've seen are longer, but you can cut down the spacers that are in the fork to get it to sag a little bit more. Tie straps are another option to use. I've got an M2 and I've got an S3, so I know both of the models pretty well. |

Dave, I don't know about the subframes on the M2 or S3, except that they are welded in place. The tail section on an X1 is bolted on. So I just made my own. That bike has long since been parted out. I just leave the pic on my profile for the fond memories. |

If you plan to buy a short tail you better do it in Germany the in the UK, much cheaper. |
