I just bought a 2003 XB9S and after doing some inspection of the bike i noticed a bolt underneath the steering stem that looks like its not tight. Is this suppose to be like this? I only have 986 mi on it so I wouldn’t think it would have backed out. Included is a picture of the bolt. Can someone run out and check there XB9 and see if im ok. Thanks |

Memorize what that looks like...when the bolt is "tight" (meaning there is no gap at the bottom) that means the rubber bushing inside is worn out and the motor has actually dropped down a bit... |

Looks good to me. Engine is rubber mounted. Needs that space to bounce backwards and forwards a bit. Keeps the vibs down. |
