Looking for a good stand for a tuber that won't break the bank. Have seen some nice ones but there like $100. Does any one around here make one or know of an affordable one. I tried the jack stands and stuff didn't feel real safe. Have alot of maintence to complete. Would hate for it to fall over on me or one of the kids. Thanks |

I bought a steel rod at a hardware store which I run through the axle and then sit the ends of the rod on jack stands. Mark '00 M2 |

You can also flip your rider OR passenger pegs...and use jackstands,,, OR, if you are like me, and have rear-sets, a bolt and 2 nuts will work....through the original peg mounts will work... Chase |

Max I had both ends apart on 2 jack stands, car lift & bottle jack changing the rear Isos was ticklish at a couple of points, but for most jobs these will do OK, If you can hang the sled from the celing or a lift |

Handy Enterprises makes a good set of front and rear stands. I got mine for about $120 for the pair. My front is a peg type that goes in the trip tree, the rear is a standard "L" bracket type that fits under the swingarm. Doesn't do much if you are removing the triple trees or swing arm, but for general stuff, it works great. I leave my X-1 on my stands when it's in the garage. |
