Hey just wanted to let you guys in the KC area know that Letko Performance Cycles in Kansas City, KS is having an open house tomorrow (Saturday 11/19) and they have a couple demo bikes. I think I heard 'em say 9-4pm? Anyway Ducati's doing it nation wide to show off their new Monster S2R 1000, so they had one of those and a Monster S2R 800. I rode both today, different than the Buell but I thought the 1000 was very nice. Their Ducati service tech went out on the demo ride with me, his name is Mario. He's a cool guy, very easy to talk to and obviously knows Ducatis inside and out. And he didn't p**** foot around during the demo ride either, we got on 'em and did a few good corners. He said he use to have a Lightning, dunno if it was an XB or what but he didn't trash Buells or anything...so he might be glad to see a few Buells show up there tomorrow. Never hurts to test ride... I think a few of us have found a new place to go on our Friday night rides every so often. We went out and scoped it out last night, will probably have to do some more recon before we add it to the ride though. More to come. | ||

OK I got to know where is this new place?? Whats up all?? I have been out of the loop a few days. I have been moving into the new place and getting settled. It is out between Bashor and Tongi. If any of you are out for a ride that way give me a call (913 484 9071). I am already looking at the new winter project of a Cam and Head swap (Andrews N6s and Nallins S2 heads). I have never done this before and was just wondering if this is something I can tackle myself or should I have a shop do it? Just looking to for any guidance the masses may have about this. | ||

Thanks Larry. You too. Wednesday night James and I cruised down to the Plaza and stopped at Latte Land. There were about 10 bikes there including two Harley Cops. Then JJ called and we headed back down to Olathe to meet him and we did some bar hoppin'. It was pretty cool. We stopped by Fuel, O'Shay's and that new Irish bar by Oak Park Mall. Man, I can't wait till spring already. I had a blast riding with you guys. Thanks! | ||

Sleep until 9:00 am Actually get dressed. Check email and update listing on Monster.com Go to bank and deposit check from loan on CR-V since I needed money to pay bills until my retirement check start in SIX WEEKS! Buy cheap shoes $9.99. Go to Sam's Club and buy job hunting clothes. Pick up CR-V title and take to bank because they forgot to ask me for it at the loan closing. New wiper blades on the CR-V so I can see to drive to go job hunting. Put clean dishes away. Put dirty dishes in dish washer. Hook up DVD player in living room for Sharon. Check email and badweb. Post all this so there is something for the "least wanted" to make fun of an old retired guy about!!! Oh... it my house! (Message edited by dasbuell on December 01, 2005) | ||
