After FOREVER (ok like a month and a half) I got My 1999 X1 with 799 miles sitting in my garage. After an 8-9 hr. road trip to meet with Dano I picked up a pristine machine. It was absolutly as described, looked straight off the show room floor. Got it home and couldn't wait... I put about 20 mi. on it last night and now I have a cold because of it Now when is spring? The bike is Black on Blue... nice combo. p.s. anyone paint their tail section black with this combanation... I was thinking of polishing it but I think the black look is pretty cool.... I would like to see pics if anyone has done this. |

just be carefull with black paint that color will show every scratch. Allways use a clean wash mit, clean polish clothes (microfiber), use good quality polish (meguirs or mothers), then use a really good wax, I like 3m paste wax. Tail section -- have it done black chrome color. Ride safe and enjoy! |

congrads and hey I would do anything to the bike yet . As you might wreck it , you know a man needs to know his limitations. Sorry sad but true. |

Mmmi, I hope i don't.... It's a little faster and more powerful than my previous sport bike and obviously faster than the cruiser I was riding for a while but nothing insane like a Busa or 900rr... so it is within my limitations i think. That was one reason i got this vs. an all out crotch rocket. |

I personally think the bare aluminum tail is the best aspect of the bike. Sometimes at a light, I find myself rubbing it like a perv. |
