Sorry to hear New12r, but I bet you'll land on your feet. I'd put money on it, these things happen, and after it's all over and done with you'll be better off for it. B_A, Shred and I are coming up to the dealership, I'm putting a jacket on lay-away, (hide me a medium if there's only one ), and Shred's gonna use his prize $ for something, see you about noonish. Too much to do today to ride up to the mountains, maybe tomorrow. |

N12R, I know two auto shops looking for good techs. Its hard to find good auto techs' so finding a job for you should be easy my good wrench turning buddy. I'm going to help B666 pick up the bike today and then I'll take it to SMHD. Hope to see you riding up in the Mnts' on sunday. |

It is hard to find techs. N12R will have no problem finding work. It was nice here today. The weather was perfect. Got the new tires scuffed in and the bike is doing great. |

Sorry to hear about that N12R. Was it you who was the Honda tech? If so my father works for Honda Mall of Georgia in service. I just asked and he said he could set you up for an interview if you like. Let me know. It wouldn't be but a few minutes further than pleasant hill. |

Darkducati, thanks, I was gonna go up there monday and talk to them. Quite a few of our techs have gone up there work over the past couple years so I should not have a problem. Mtnrider, I wish I could of kept up but you made the pass and I kept having flashbacks of flashing lights and didnt want to go, Thought maybe the guy in the truck would be cool but he wasnt. |

New12r: Sorry to hear about your job, but it sounds like you'll be back billing hours before you know it. I know its easier said than done, but enjoy your time off. Work to live not live to work and all that stuff. Carpe diem, Vita brevis |

N12R I figured you guys got held up. Waited until I seen you coming out the straight. Once I seen you guys were okay I hauled it home. Told my neighbor I would help him work on his truck at 2pm and I was late. Will and me had some fun this morning. Hit rain before I got back home. Now I will have to clean my baby up. I am glad that I am getting to know you guys. |

MRider......Nice to meet ya today. Man, you are FAST! Thanks for showing me some AWESOME new roads. I will be taking those routes instead of the boring usual ones I have been running just getting to TWO I received a good dose of a Hydrovaginitis vaccine. I got poured on all the way from the Outlet Mall to Haynes Bridge Rd. Gonna have to hang up the leathers in the Garage for a while to dry out. Boy, that chopped tail can really throw a roostertail. Cagers were looking at me like I was crazy! Glitch/Shred.....WTF????Did ya make it to the hills? |

We trailered to Cleveland G.a at the Ingles at 75 and 129. I rained on use for the first 15 miles or so, we got soaked. Then went to the Huddle House and had coffee and waited it out. WE saw Vickie and jack. They were heading home, do to the rain and had been up all weekend. We did the short loop twice and the hit Richard Russell-348 and then back to the house. |

hey shred, i was just seeing if we were still on for tomorrow. i just thought of an issue we may have. there is no way you will be able to ride my bike into the back of your truck. its waaay f'd up, and i probably wont be much help pushing it up the ramps. any ideas? are there any other good friends that dont have to work tomorrow that may be able to help us conquer this challenge if need be? remember, the favors always get returned. |

B666, How about we use my trailer its a tandem axle 6'6" wide by 12'6" with a drive up ramp. I'll be off work between 11 and noon. You can give me a ring around 11 if you want. |

that'll work. didnt realize you had a trailer. if its ok with you, i'd like to just get the bike back to my house instead of the dealer. so far it looks like the broken bike bill is on me, not insurance. so i think i'm going to fix my baby myself. |

I'll post the pics from yesterdays ride, I only have a few. The bike has been striped of all her plastics, she's NAKED. The header nuts to the collector keep coming loose and the front strap to the pipe broke off. I notice some other loose bolts. Going to let SMHD tighten and do the warranty work. B666, I'll see you later. |

Mike, Try changing your header gaskets when you re-torque the header nuts. The wire mesh gaskets can only handle so many full throttle blasts before they wear out and give you metal to metal vibes loosening the nuts. Also do not use lock-tite on the stud nuts, it's easier to tighten the nuts then to change header studs... |

Jimmy the punk, Thats right this Buell don't want a Jap' bike that leaks anti-freeze all over G.A and the Vortex. My bike needs to be just air cooled and it don't even need race fuel. |
