His name is John, and he was remorseful for the incident  but that doesnt change why he found it neccesary to try and ride beyond his capabilities .His injuries are minor a badly scraped up knee and a good shot in the pride department is all that he sustained. As Charlie pointed out John is always welcome to post his thoughts. Kelly: I 100% agree with your statement  . Before rides we will have a little pre-ride meeting so that new riders can grasp what the pace will be and that nobody gets left behind, no matter how slow they think they are. David: Thanks for the update. I/we appreciate your concern for somebody who you probably didnt even know  . We will catch you next time. I in no way was trying to sound uppity, you know what I mean? I just hope no one ever shyes away from this board that's all. Glad he's OK. Maybe a reading of "The Pace" is in order for ride participants? At Octoberfast, Eliz was the slowest rider but no one made her feel that she should hurry. In fact, Dino (thanks man) hung back with her while I terrorized Ca motorists. That's the riding environment we should embrace. | ||

Not to make my head sound any bigger than it already is, but that's me on the cover of Fuell as well. The cameraman is on the back of Bart's bike and that's me in front of them. And inside the cover that's the three of us again. The girl in the pic where you can see my face was the one in the cover pic too. She is the hottest girl I've ever seen on a Buell. Hey all- That's correct- those attending the trackday on 11/13 are welcome to hang out in my pit area. I'll only be there for the morning session to scrub in some tires on the XB and get a few laps in on my EX to heat cycle the engine- as it needed a rebuild after the last race. For those that haven't experienced a trackday, I'm sure you'll enjoy it! Just ride to your comfort level and enjoy what promises to be a great day... as they say, "no one wins trackday"! Have fun and be safe! Looking forward to meeting everyone on Sunday! PS- I'm easy to find- just look for the blue Buell #39, or my trailer with said Buell on the side! Regards, Ed | ||

Today Dan,Tudor and myself made a run up to Payson, we planned on heading to Show Low but we were abruptly stopped by mother nature who decided that 30 miles outside of Payson needed a little snow, yep thats right SNOW! It was downright unbearable to ride,not to mention our face shields were freezing over. I believe winter is officialy here. Looks like I won't be coming out to Phx afterall. The CO & SgtMaj came out to Yuma to meet me, therefore I'll be doing my week here at home in Yuma. Have fun at the track guys. And my thanks to Mikel who offered up his digs for me. Meant a lot. I'm brokeless! | ||

Carey. Well the answer is yes and no. No not as an open event but yes since I have never run on that track a small group has elected to just go for it. I want to get to know the Ulysses a little better before I even think of going out with you "go faster guys" you will just scare me off the track if I try to ride with your group at this point. I need training wheels and I saw how you guys were eating up the track last go around. Sure hope my head shake issue is gone by then. | ||

All my friends are driving me nuts. Happily though Not only do I have to check out the great time you guys had. I just got a call from my friend Vinny who just completed superbike school in Vegas! Just from the perk in his voice, I could tell it's something I want to do. Before he went is was oh the money this, and that's a lot of money that. One of the first things he said when he called was he can't wait to go back. Worth every penny. Hmmm. Food for thought. I'm going to get a few regular trackdays under my belt first... Csg, You gettin head shake? Is it under riding or braking? Cuz Eliz had it bad and re-torquing the steering bearings cured it... | ||

Charlie For a more in depth answer try "My Life With Ulysses: An Eeyores Tale" thread here on badweb. Seems to be on decel but to tell you the truth I did not try braking. But I do not think it happened during braking. I was just riding along minding my own biz when it happened. As for superbike school I can recommend the Keith Code school that comes to firebird every year. It is a hoot. You can ride your own bike or ride one like CaryJ has for less than a set of tires. | ||
