The interview went well. Apparently it is in the last stages before they award the contract. The firm that may hire me seems to think all is a good sign towards winning the contract. I have no doubt that IF the contract is awarded to the firm I am dealing with, I have the job. The big IF is IF they get the contract. I am of the opinion that it could happen. But what do I know??? Hopefully, we will know something in a week or so. Then stage two kicks in. Negotiating my contract! I was given a "between $XX,XXX.00 and $XX,XXX.00, with it toward the high end because of your experience." on the salary. The two numbers span a $30,000.00 spread. I also seem to think my experience was a selling point as to what can be offered in the contract. I am new to the corporate world. I have worked for the government since 1972! Any tips from anyone who lives in the corporate world? if so email them to dasbuell@aol.com Hey... I at least got a free lunch at Hereford House. Of course that in no way puts a dent what we spent last night at Men's Warehouse. Several hundred dollars in clothing was a good investment to get a free lunch. Right??? I will never take Sharon with me to shop for "work clothing" again!!! That was a very expensive interview and free lunch!!! | ||

Sorry I missed the ride down through the plaza, not much I like better than riding down there with my quiet little bike and politely riding by the coffee house cafe racers that hang out down there. Right now I am stuck on the east coast, but I will be back tomorrow night. Hope I see some of you Saturday evening at Danny's. | ||

Hey kids, Last night was a good time, sorry I had to cut out early and head home but I was dead on my feet. Let me know how the night ended. Fight, boobies let a brother know. Also thanks for being cool with my bro, but I would have expected nothing less. He commented on how you all seem like a good group of guys. I guess he does not know the crew that well, you bunch of law breakers  . (I guess that’s me too) Any plans for some rides this week it looks like it will VERY NICE the next couple of days. I will be out so let me know. By the way I did not get it when Tim and JJ said that I ran D.J. off, but I just got done looking at the other KC string. WOW if that is all it took I am shocked. By the way F--ing LARRY not me said he rode a Sportster, I said he rode a purple Blast LOL. Geez get it right LOL. WT, You alive?? | ||

I'm alive, but i'm sitting on my hands until my bike gets back out of the shop. My Drummer SS shipped today, so I'm stoked about that, but when my clutch went out in AR on my trip, I about sh*t a brick when I found out that I would have to tow it home. I still love my bike, but I'm kinda getting pissed off at Buell/HD for an unbelievable lack of customer support. Even AAA couldn't help me! When I towed it in to Gails last Monday they said "something broke off in your primary case and that caused the clutch cable to break" They ordered new parts and I am waiting hear back. I hope it's done by this weekend! WT | ||

Tripper... in response... everyone forgot where my house was... eh? I WAS referring to advise related to life in the corporate world... and possible tips on salary negotiations!!!  I have the only house in the greater metro KC area, flying an official 3 x 5 foot Buell flag in the front yard. How hard can it be to find... more difficult than "Dave San Diego" ?????????? Apparently so!!! | ||

Well fellas, It sounds like it is supposed to be 70 degrees on Friday. I would like to go riding, but I will be in Phoenix for the weekend visiting my sister and her family. Go get one last warm ride in for me! |
