There are ALOT of factors for your insurance. Time riding, expected Milage, zipcode, your age, single/married, financed bike and how much you owe, driving record, claims made in the past...yes claims with other insurance companies can effect your current quote. |

I picked up the SX from Chandler last night after major surgery. The bike rec'd a brand new wiring harness. They wrapped the whole thing in a sheath of Kevlar type material to keep it from chaffing on the frame as it passes the neck. Hopefully this will be the last issue for a while. My new lid should be in today also. If so I will be there on Sat. PS Thanks for the lift J! |

Carey, I put the balance of my original loan on a 0% interest credit card and the lien has been released. I should receive the title early next week. The reason for doing this is simple...if one more thing happens I will be switching teams. |

That price will be cut in half once I am 25. Don't count on it. With the increase in accidents nationwide for motorcyclists over 30, the majority of insurance companies are looking to throw out age related discounts. |

Don't count on it. With the increase in accidents nationwide for motorcyclists over 30, the majority of insurance companies are looking to throw out age related discounts. That would sure suck. My agent said that the only reason my insurance is so high is because of my age, and that after 25 my rates would drop. But if it doesn't, I will have to look for a different insurance company or seriously think "how bad do I want a motorcycle" I'll be keeping my fingers crossed How was the ride everybody? I just know I missed a good one |

While I agree that insurance companies will sure make adjustments for the rise in accident rates among older riders (there's more of them than there have ever been and it's rising) I think young peeps will still see a drop at 25. What I forsee is a rate rise for those riders 50 or so and older because they are quickly becoming the largest risk... |

Yeah, and you can't even be covered when you do a track day!!! I told my agent that its a closed course with lots of run off room, no cars, people or wildlife(animals) to worry about and said the damage would be less if crashed on a track. He agreed but its company policy so he gave me there corporate number and talked to them about a separate track day policy and I told them alot or riders would spring for it and you do like making more money don't you??? They said "We'll get back to you on that" |

"While motoring along Highway 10 near Maricopa Road in Chandler Arizona I was passed by a large vehicle, the wind buffeted me into some gravel on the road making me skid to the ground, ruining my new leather suit, helmet and 1147.13 of damage to my brand spanking new Whizzer racer." Tell that little piece of fiction to the insurance company, it may work. NO FLAMES please this is a joke. |

No flames here... I'd do it! Hey all, I'm going PTAD to Phoenix 13-18 November. I'm going on recruiting duty and by going to Phoenix and meeting CO/SgtMaj I've got a better chance of getting stationed here. PTAD means the Marine Corps ain't paying for it though. Anyone got a floor I can borrow for 5 nights??? |

hey all, for the most part i had a great time on the ride sat the 5th. for those of you that came and made it through the whole ride, thank you for riding within your limits and not just turning around and going home without telling anyone. unfortunately, not everyone did that as we had two riders go home right after we started the ride which took the rest of the group over an hour to figure out that they must have gone home and not fallen. then we had an incident at the first set of corners we came to when someone hit the pavement/gaurd rail due to trying to keep up with faster more experienced riders. i understand that the unexpected comes up, and that accidents happen, but i think in the future anyone who rides with us should use some courtesy and common sense about their riding skills. not everyone may feel this way, but i feel it should be said. |

Hey I had a great time on the first part of the ride also. When the first rider slowed down and appeared to fall off the map. A short time later, I thought maybe he was in trouble so I turned around to go back and offer help if needed. Remember I had the heated seats and figured maybe he was too cold to continue or just needed a time out on the couch. Well I never found him and ended up back at the starting point. At that point I was about two light years behind the group so I gave up the chase (scotty would not beam me up). Sorry for the confusion. I should have said I would run sweep before we left that mourning. |

CB, some new guy ran wide on his new City X in a sweeper ascending Yarnell Hill. He's fine from what I gather, just a few cuts and bruises. Kelly, good job. People need to realize that group rides are for fun, not competition. All, did everyone receive their copy of Fuell? In the "Clubs" section is a pic of some of us at the Arrowhead event a few months ago. I also noticed in the article about the "Ride the Rockies" event, there is an inset pic of Kelly and Bartimus. |
