I would appreciate any and all information as to updating the standard headlamp bulbs with PIAA extreme white bulbs, 55W bulbs that emit 110W light, as well as driving lights model P1100 bulbs. Not that the lighting is bad on the Buell, just I have updated all of my other bikes to get the maximum light possible. I believe that there is not a real concern changing out the H7 standard bulbs for the PIAA H7 bulbs, but I would also like to find a kit or availability of adding driving lights something like the P1100 PIAA's with switching and mounting brackets etc available. Cycle Gadgets makes a kit for BMW including a integral switch that does not require an aftermarket extra switch to turn on and off. They do not have that same package for the Buell. Are there any of the board's sponsors, or members that are aware of something like this for the Buell. Any and all information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

I replaced the stock headlight lamps with PIAA StarWhite 55w halogen H-7 bulbs. I would be surprised if they could actually make the same amount of light as a 110 watt bulb without melting the headlights. However, they so seem to be brighter and whiter than stock, and I do recommend them, even though they seem a little pricey at around $65. Sorry, don't know anything about mounting additional lights. |

RM, Check this thread on the Uly board: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142838/146908.html#POST521729 (scroll down the thread about half-way) A guy's added some auxiliary lights to his XB12X; looks like it would work on an S model as well. |
