I'd mentioned that the bike I had was a custom color that had been done at the factory. These are the colors that I saw listed as available colors: Yellow Jacket Pearl, ice White Pearl, Caribbean Candy Blue, Black sapphire Pearl and Red Snap. http://www.geocities.com/tgroghan/buell/article/spec.html Mine was none of these and it came from the factory. Doubt the factory did it that way. It looks like the first owner did the air cleaner in the same color.Appears to have a lot of other upgrades/changes as well.One way of finding out maybe pull the tank-cover or tail-piece and look for some original paint that didn't get covered. | ||

Earl Smalls in Atlanta was putting custom paint jobs on brand new Buells in 1994 & 1995... Some were quite nice I almost bought one that was Black Sapphire Pearl with lightening bolts all over it but it was wrecked a day before I was to pick it up by a shop mechanic... I mention this because other dealers may have done the same, but the title should reflect the orginal from the factory color... I even have a copy of the orginal factory title or certitificate of orgin..... | ||

Direct from the 1995 sales literature:  Incidentally the color pictured above is the Caribbean Candy Blue - the original color of my S2) In order to be complete here is the info from the 1996 sales literature for S2 colors:  The only 'custom' color I remember on ANY 1995 Buell S2 from the factory was one S2 that was painted a straight black. It also had a black frame and was made for Hal's to go racing with. One of these days I will have the time to go through my old (non-digital) pictures and will find the pics that I think I remember taking of it on the line. 1313 | ||
