Bomber, I remember a bloke named Martin Hone posting here (I wonder why he stopped......), that he drilled another hole closer to the pivot point on his brake lever, for the master cylinder rod to bolt onto. This gave him better leverage at the pedal. PPiA | ||

Talked to EBC's dealer rep.He said that they don't now,nor will they in the future offer the HH pad for the PM caliper found on Buells. Cap turned me on to Ferodo 911's.#FDB847PR911. Now I just have to find somwhere to buy them. I'm a-gona stop the hell outa this here motorsickle!2000 stainless rotor/carrier,Ferodo 911's and Cap's rear brake kit!What more could a lad want? Someone help. Don't Laugh -- but I want to find a supplier of spoke wheel hubs. Want to put wire wheels on 2000 M2 -- but keep tire sizes, brake discs, and drive pulley original. On a budget -- so want to "build" wheels myself but need help locating parts. Thanks  | ||

Chuck, I don`t know if the huge onesided brakedisc is matching so well a spoked wheel because of the great torsion. Spoked wheels can be lighter but the now just well balanced and short Buell does not ask for a too light weighted wheels in front. Maybe I am seeing ghost problems. The looks will be good IMO. Anyone have a good way to raise the front end besides the "Pit Bull" track stands? How about that new stand that uses the foot pegs? Would that sort of balance the bike like my BMW does on its centerstand? | ||

Dogtown, The "centerstand" is the stand you are referring to. I have one and it is awesome!! It raises the rear wheel with the footpegs and then all you need is a small bottle jack(about $10 at WalMart) under the front eyelet on the rear shock to get your front wheel off the ground. Best part is that it totally takes all pressure off the suspension and makes tire changes, belt adjustments, etc a complete breeze. I highly recommend the centerstand!!! Dan 99S3 00X1 | ||

Buelliedan, how long did it take to ship it to you? Is it a two piece unit? It looks like the way to go, as my Big Twin riding partner has a similar stand for his Harley except that it goes under the frame (which we DON'T have!) My other alternative is a "come-along" hitched from my handlebars to my garage crosspiece, but I'm not real thrilled with that idea. '97 M2 '85 BMW R80RT | ||

Dogtown, I received it in about 4 days if I remember correctly. It is 2 piece; the main frame and then the handle which has a quick disconnect pin. It's very light as well. I wouldn't be too thrilled with the "come-along either. Spend the $120, it's well worth it!! But don't waste your money on the bottle jack he sells. I recommend a stand, but not from stand-related experience. I removed my rear tire from the bike yesterday. Two straps with hooks hanging from the rafter, and no come-along. Me, standing on a cinder block, lifting the back of the bike high enough for my girlfriend to hook onto the frame. First try was bad because the hooks were too low. One more wrap and they were higher. Then I almost threw my back out lifting it up. It now hangs and swings, and I'm not comfortable about it at all. While I'm here, I'm really glad that the bolts holding the rear rotor are torqued on good. But damn, they're tight! Now I have to weld a nut to the stripped-out bolt. | ||

I just got the DSE/Centerstand by UPS and within 10 minutes I had my M2 up and ready for the front wheel to come off. What an outstanding product! Thanks Buelliedan for the recommendation!!!! | ||

Santa dropped one off at my house, great product. Also got the overpriced bottle jack and PooterScooter to go with it. I have my bike stored up on the CenterStand due to minimal garage space, which is not recommended. To prevent the kids from lifting the lever and having the bike fall on them I placed a 50lb bag of soil on the handle. | ||

Thanks Everyone! I'll order one as soon as they open today. That setup is much more economical than buying 2 Pitbull stands (front and rear) plus, it takes up less space  | ||

Brake problem...I have a warped front rotor on my Blast. It's just a small part; though I can feel it when I stop at low speed I don't feel it at all when I decelerate from high speed nor when I make a panic stop. What bothers me is the squeal the it makes when I'm coasting. I've identified a 4-6 inch section of the disk that is out of alignment because of the brake pad dust that stays on it. My question is which side is it leaning towards the side with the dust or the other side? I figure I can bang it back a bit so that it doesn't bother me as much but I'm loath to do this until I know which way to tap it. Any help would greatly appreciated Peace Tony | ||

Okay, back to tires, after all that raving I did about D207's, I'll stick with it sofar as handling wet and dry, etc. but... after 1400 mi., I'd say I won't get 2000 mi. out of em if I milk it, man those rubber rings are toast! I guess I'm kinda hard on rubber, I wonder who makes a tire that'll wear like a Pilot Sport or a D205, but handle like a 207? HELP!! Thanks, Ray | ||

It sounds like you are using the race 207 GP Stars. The street version lasts around 4000-7000 miles. | ||
