I did not read all the replies about the Power Pod and I do not like to get involved in such a bad post. It is sad that something like this happened. Why can't people just discuss something and not get all out of wack? Has anyone here even tried the Pod? Was it condemned before it was even tested? I am not taking sides just trying to figure out why everyone thought it was a bad product. I have read several feed back letters about the Pod and they were in favor of it. One guy from Pa. was so happy that he even posted it on the Aussie Buell Riders forum. Would I give 200.00 for one I do not think so. I hope one of these days that people will be more open minded and easier to get along with. Both sides with crazy and it got out of control and now there are hard feelings. No matter what country we are from we are all bothers and sisters involved in one of the greatest sports ever. Maybe we have learned a lesson from this and next time we will stay calm and collected. I hope no one gets mad at me over this post. (Message edited by mountainrider on October 28, 2005) |

The hard feelings were there before the recent Power Pod post. If you have questions about it, ask them to provide you some substantial proof of successful dyno runs and make your own decision. I don't think it needs any additional discussion. (Message edited by cruisin on October 28, 2005) |

Mountain Rider, The following info from Blake should be sufficient explanation for anyone thinking this topic needs further discussion: " After trying desperately to peddle his wares in blatant disregard for board policy, after masquerading under multiple pseudonyms, after clumsily attempting to hack into our database, after comitting any number of serious and blatant violations of his internet use agreement and those of this board, Mr. Chillistick, aka Aussie_buell_riderz, aka Peel, aka Pendulum or whatever other pseudonyms he might take up is now threatening by email to sue me/BadWeB for libel and copyright infringement. " Who would consider buying anything from someone who tries to "hack" the database of the website he's arguing with ??? What kind of buffoon threatens a copyright infringement suit when no one has even made an attempt to copy his product ??? Do honest people enter internet forums using multiple alias to make a point ??? This sorry excuse for a human being deserves no further explanation, discussion or consideration !!! |

if you go back a read the posts you will see he(abr) was attacked by blake and his cronies first. i have met this wrath before myself here. its blakes way or the highway. yes his(chilli) form of defense was immature but we can all do that sometimes when we get pissed. and on this site it is all about sponsership or lack of sponsership. i can bet you that blake does not have his sponsers prove there parts perform before he accepts there money. the products at abr dont look bad to me, however i have not tried any of them. i still dont agree with the "rule with iron fist" method. freedom of speech is a right not a privilege. my $.02 |

Let's get one thing clear Ron. There is no freedom of speech on BadWeB; what there is on BadWeB is a definite policy governing what content and behavior is acceptable and what is not acceptable. Because the site is entirely supported through the investment of its sponsors, it would seem to any reasonable person that protecting the value of site sponsorship would be a primary interest shared by ALL BadWeBrs. Moreover, if I see a problem with a product that is being presented for discussion, am I or am I not within MY rights to comment on aspects of said product which I find problematic, especially if that product is being presented disingenuously and in violation of the board's no non-sponsor marketing policy? Additionally, for whatever reason you are apparently enamored with defending a person of dubious character; his actions here have not only been in blatant disregard of board policy, they have not only been purely exploitive and self-serving, as of yesterday his actions turned overtly malevolent and hostile to this board. That garnered the undivided attention of board custodians. With respect to you personally, again, it is not "my way or the highway", it is simply a matter of abiding by the policy to which YOU agreed when registering as a participant on this discussion board. If in retrospect you cannot tolerate the policy to which you have agreed, then the only honorable course of action for you is indeed to "hit the highway." Your choice. The good news is that if you are willing to create and maintain a discussion board of your own, you are perfectly free to operate and maintain it any way you see fit. I suspect that most folks here will agree with me. Lastly, your post would be most appropriate in the "Criticize Blake" thread. |

Agreed. Go start a board, keep it running, and pay the monthly bandwidth fees, and you can say absolutely anything you wish any time you want. The discussion of sponsor products and non sponsor products will always be a grey area where all parties have to be polite, considerate, and use good judgement. We can read this site because the current sponsors pay a monthly fee to cover the costs of the bandwidth and hardware usage we all consume every time we click a link here. In return for this, we ask that sponsors be shown respect and courtesy, and ask for those in a current or future "buell stuff for profit" business contribute to the cost of running the board if they wish to market stuff here. That's all. |

Cool! Blake and I cross posted, and actually even agreed! (something about blind pigs and acorns seems to apply here...) |

What I find amazing is that people are missing the point. The problem is not about a non-sponsored product being DISCUSSED, it's about a non-sponsor attempting to sell his product directly. I can talk about a product all I want (good, bad, or whatever) and I can even post a link to it (I've seen plenty of "Hey I found this and thought it was cool..." ). It does not have to be a product sold by sponsors. The problem arises when a business comes here and attempts to create interest via an "advertisement" whether it be directly or indirectly (false accounts). It's no different than a computer or gun show. People pay to sell their stuff there (their table) and to get more business in future sales. I've been to gun shows where someone may have a gun or two they are personally selling with a for sale sign on them (same as our Classifieds). It would be wrong for a business to attempt to sell a product that way. That's the issue folks...ABR has come here with an attempt to gain business on a product without paying for his table to do so. As far as the product goes, people will have different opinions. When ABR first came here it was a Devil Tube - which was a strange velocity stack that several engineering gurus said it probably wouldn't help, and no substantial proof was provided otherwise. Now it's the Power Pod which doesn't even show what is used for a velocity stack. Who knows what's in it? |

good grief get over it. 1. No proof 2. Not a sponsor 3. History of misrepresentation of product 4. History of false ID's on this sight 5. The product looks like a middle school physics project at best. No way I would defile my cycle with that ugly thing. 6. Do we need to keep going? Anyways I am signing a deal today on a 05!!!! XB12SCG Lets move on I wouldnt even entertain another statement or question to these guys or they're product. IG them |

Hey I'm with Blake here I have had good experiences with working with Blake on this board and have had a few "sponsorship issues" but I think all was handled well even though I think sometimes we all can get out of control. But Blake never threatened me or got angry with me so Blake Keep up the good work and we will be sending our sposorship info in soon (Wildfire Harley) |
