I'm in the market for a slip-on,(who isn't) and I have looked though the kv and can't find any sound clips to download. Before I'm responsible the next pipe war, I don't really care about losing a few ponies here and there nor am I'm interested in peak performance.(of course I don't want my bike to lose all its power). I just want some sound.I would like a pipe that doesn't sound like a open pipe harley. I have wiretied my valve open it didn,t notice any power loss, but wasn't crazy about the sound. thanks for any help |

http://www.xb12r.com/clips/jenn.avi It's me and my daughter, about 50mb, but it is the Special OPS pipe...gives you a good idea what it sounds like...I was even amazed at how cool it sounded when watching it instead of sitting on the bike. |

Im in the same boat as Vaxb I dont care about a gain in power or having to do and TPS re-cl BS. I just want to be able to slip it on and go. I really like the sound from Cruisin. The Spec ops pipe Sounds tough. How much did that run you? Where did you purchase it from? Did you have to do anything to the intake for it or was it purley a slip on? Thanks They all sound pretty good! |

Try these. I had the same question a few months ago. FWIW I went with the D&D and am still smiling every time I fire it up. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/121851.html |

Sgthigg - sorry for not getting back to you sooner. You can get the pipe from Odie (You should be able to find him under the sponsor section - shows as SPECIAL OPS). $250 and your old pipe is all it costs, and well worth it. He has extras already made so he can ship it out and you can swap it - no unnecessary downtime. He cuts the stock can, reworks it, shortens it, and puts a new end on it. You can put it on by itself and it should perform fine. He leaves the interactive exhaust valve in for the 1203cc bikes that have it - so just make sure to let him know what model you have. Odie (like all the other sponsors here) is absolutely top notch to deal with. |
