I was going to wait on getting an '06 Buell. Found a killer deal on a leftover and with the savings purchased a few goodies. The dealer had Black wheels in stock so I swaped out the gold ones. Also purchased the race kit but have not installed it yet.

hey mike748 nice black-on-black (i'm not partial to gold bling either) a question please - how did you manage it? Was the dealer willing to swap your bike's stock translucent amber wheels to the villain blacks for a fee of somekind? thanks.

Johnb, I had to purchase the black wheels from the parts dept. then the dealer swapped them as part of the delivery procedure. It worked out nice, the wheels were in stock and 20% off. I plan on selling the amber wheels on Ebay etc.

I haven't given it much thought yet. I was going to get an estimate on what shipping might be before I put them up for sale.

Hey Johnparts, I'm going to sell them as a pair. It's an easier sell. They have 0 miles on them and I should be able to take some pics tomorrow.

Hey Mike

What happened to the

"American Motorcycles" emblem on your tank?

Much improved.

I peeled 'em off and placed on my toolbox. They came right up without much trouble.

Your bike looks great with the black wheels!

Also like the Airbox cover without "American Motorcycles".

I tried heating up the "American Motorcycles" label & pealing it off. It looked like it was going to leave a bunch of glue on the tank, so I stopped & pressed it back into place. What is a safe way to get the glue off the cover? Will GooGone or something like that work, or will it damage the plastic?

Brucen,

Try leaving the bike out in the sun for about 15 min. The air box will warm the glue from the backside. I had almost no residual glue left behind. What was left I removed with Honda cleaner/detailer.
