Well we've finally finished the Project THOR Supermoto Ulysses, just 2 days before it goes to the motorcycle show in Birmingham (England not Alabama). We think it looks pretty good, although not too impressed with the quality of the paintwork when it arrived last night Once the show is finished we'll be taking it down to the dyno to fine tune the Rapid-bike controller, then we'll post a few figures. For those that complain of high speed weave on the Uly, the LSL steering damper from the other XB series fits perfectly, just make sure you get the 56mm fork clamp. More pics on the Big,Bad & Dirty Board. I couldn't decide which board it belonged in so put it in both Sorry Blake |

WHAT! NO BEAVER PADDLE! Trojan, lookin good! thats some kinda serious handguard rigging you've got goin there wow! what is that? 1" aluminum? i like the sculpted 'seashell' handguard screens and airbox - does it talk like the knightrider 'kit' car? Whats the story with the exhaust shield design and unladen seat height with the lightning long seat? |

Cool. Me thinks a motocross style rear fender would really finish that look (Yamaha YZF style in black). |

Huge improvement over the stock look, which is... well, ugly. That actually looks really good! |

How is that Micron exhaust? Does it create a belt issue with the exhaust exiting right on the belt? Would it still do that on the XB models? Sweet looking Uly! I don't really like the way it looks with the stock colors, but that is pretty awesome! (Message edited by Olinxb12r on October 24, 2005) |

How is that Micron exhaust? Does it create a belt issue with the exhaust exiting right on the belt? The right side exit is VERY close to the belt on the Uly when unladen due to the increased ride height, but does has some clearance when I'm on the bike. It is fine on all the other Xb models. On the XB12SS and XB12X it will not fit with the stock belt guard fitted. I haven't had time to address this issue prior to the show, but will be speaking to Tony at Micron UK next week to see about some revised exit pipes for the 12X and 12SS. |

I have spoken to Micron today regarding the exit pipes being close to the belt, and they have already been on the case They have now reworked the exit pipes and have two versions available. One to fit the entire XB range except the 12X, and another unique fitment for the Uly that has the tips angled downwards at 5 degrees for extra clearance. This enables the stock belt guard to be retained as well. |

They are the stock tires, made specially for the XB12X by Dunlop. Dunlop D616F 120/70R17 (Front) Dunlop D616 180/55/R17 (Rear) |
