Alright here are the details for our Nov 5th ride, but first thanks Carey and Kelly I had a great time yesterday Meet up at carefree hwy and I-17 at 6:30 in the chevron parking lot. Everybody eat a good breakfast we wont be stopping until Strawberry or Pine for grub. We will then proceed to Prescott I really dont see a point in stopping in Wickenburg for gas when all we traveled is 40-50 miles, I have been discussing with some of the other members and we have come to a solution for the lengthy ride times, and its pretty straight forward stop less ride more, Which means at gas stops we do just that get gas and ride on. When we get to our destination there will be plenty of time for chit-chat. Enough of that next we will head to Jerome via Mingus mtn then motor through Cottonwood to the I-17/260 interchange where we all can fuel up and stretch our legs for a while. The final leg of the ride will be a tasty section of long blind sweepers and nice scenery as we head down the 260 to Strawberry/Pine where we will pick a spot large enough to accommodate all of our steeds and get a bite to eat. From there its up to the individual what route they will take, my recommendation would be east to Payson then South via 87 to east Mesa/ Scottsdale, its a nice ride with plenty of sweepers. The ride in its entirety was 360 miles from my door step back to my door step. I would also recommend dressing for winter type riding as it will get pretty chilly in some spots, not un-rideable by no means but a little nippy. Flyers will be e-mailed to the addresses I have, so if I dont have it send me a PM with it. Hope to see a lot of familiar faces and some new ones. On a final note the ride length comment is to accommodate everybody so that we are not out until 5pm and we can get back to our normal lives at home. The ride pace will be no different just reducing the amount and times of stops. Later J |

I really dont see a point in stopping in Wickenburg for gas That was due to people coming from Prescott to meet up in Wickenburg as well as for some of the people coming from this side of town. It was easier to meet up there rather then in like my case, ride all the way to the other side of town then back track all the way this way. Not something I minded but it was a suggestion that was put out there and ended up being worked in. Mostly for the Prescott crew to have a meet up point that was somewhat in the middle. |

Mikel: I see your point if riders are departing from Prescott, but I honestly cant remember the last time anyone met up with that lived in Prescott. Just trying to accommodate the bulk of us thats all By the way hows the arm healing? Do you and Guy want to meet up for some pics? J |

Hey all, I went on the pre-ride a few days ago and had a great time. Cool weather and great corners. The only down part of the day was traffic on I-17 when I tried to fly back into reality to get to work. Darn cagers always getting in my way. Well I look forward to seeing you all on the fifth! K |

All riders are welcome to attend our monthly ride this month's ride will be a nice twisty adventure through some of our northern neighbors Prescott, Jerome, Strawberry/Pine, finishing off in Payson. Trip length will vary depending on your current location 350-400 miles Dress for cold weather riding as it will be a bit nippy in the higher elevations. Meet up: I-17 & Carefree Hwy 6:30am. At this point we all fill up on fuel. Departure: Kickstands up at 7:00am *Everybody should eat a good breakfast before we depart we will not be stopping for chow until we arrive at Strawberry/Pine* Stop 1: Prescott for a fuel stop and leg strecth. Stop 2: Camp Verde for a fuel stop and leg strecth. Stop 3: Strawberry or Pine depending on the establishments ability to accomadate a good sized group of hungry riders. End: Payson will be our final stop for fuel and the ride officially ends here. There wont be any structure as far as group goes from here as some of us like to ride "BRISKLY" back down to the valley. *I and others would like to get some group photos somewhere along the 267 it is very scenic country. *We are not posting times on this ride for the simple fact that things happen and it is useless to try. See the last ride for how well that worked. LOL!!! *Questions or comments here are guys to talk to. Andrew Broughton @ 480-496-4800 J Abrams @ 602-793-2661 or ThunderAZ@MSN.COM E-Mail is the most efficient way to get info as I am not always available for a phone call but if you must, dial away. See everybody in a couple weeks!! |

Well gentleman, it looks as though I will be missing out on another ride due to electrical issues this time. Too bad, the SX ran well for about 8K but she's been nothing but trouble since. Japan Inc. is looking better and better all the time. |

That is nice bit if it is going to get similar feedback than its counter part the 990 super duke I dont think many will have anything to do with it. Here is my first choice if they decide to pursue it production.http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2005/02/25/thunder-star-1200-diesel-by-star-tw in/ J |

I've seen that diesel bike before and its great idea but the EPA won't let it in the country, go figure. God forbid they let those Euro diesels that get more than 50mpg in this country so the big oil company's lose profits from there #1 oil consuming country!!!! |

Yea!! Amen to that. I believe that model gets over 100mpg and the power nunbers are astronomical. the EPA. J |

Not so much the power but the TORQUE!!! Stock 80hp and 165ft-lbs and after some tweaking 120hp and 250ft-lbs of torque!!! |
