Maybe this is a good place to share just a few of the uplifting words of constructive criticism and personal commentary that I've received from thoughtful folk...
quote:You're such a pansy dick Blake! Why don't you come on out here and meet me face to face if ya really wanna hurt me? C'mon Girly, give it your best shot ! My loyalty is to my customers, not to you. Blake, my dear...give it your best shot as it is not my account! It aint under my name dickwad! Go yourself, and I better not ever runinto you when I'm in Texas. ...u little power trip bitch. ...my job has always been to turn as many people AWAY from the Badweb as possible. ...my opinion of you and your integrity went straight down the toilet... The problem with your site is that people try to discredit anything that is not their idea. I really don't care about BBW anymore! ...your arrogance is over the top. I really have no use for your site anymore! ...if you just want to live in your little world and feed each other's egos go right ahead. I said it before, I'll say it again, you only have integrity when it's convenient for you. Blake, I do this just to annoy you...but I'm also very honored that you take precious time out of your life- to feel the need to make such an announcement. i am actually getting tired of badweb lately to, it seems that the sponsers are (god) always right and if anyone says anything that they dont like then you want to shut them down (protect your profits). ...you ego crazed fool. Whats your Name ??? The little Dickhead ? (The above accompanied by a closeup photo of a man's penis.) It is no surprise to me that you call yourself a Christian for in my experiences Christians are the biggest hypocrites I have ever met. Get a life, loser. You really think the world revolves around you, don't you? What a hypocrite you are. I suggest you get your head out of your . Personally- I really don't care what you do or say to me.... but as long as it gets a rise out of you...then I'm happy. You must really have pent up frustrations to even think about what you think sometimes, let alone actually follow thru with some of your thoughts. Are you mentally stable at all. suck baby. Get a life. You picked a hell of dishonest person to get in bed with. It reflects very poorly on you. But the shoe certainly appears to fit. I doubt your comprehension level is quite up to par. You ever pull your head out of your , let me know. I guess I will stop trying to help Badebbbers out. Are you jealous that you have not designed, fabricated and began marketing of a product like I have. Or do you just have some inferiority complex? Does anyone even listen to you anymore or are they just laughing? How does it feel to be banned you !!! Censorship is nothing more than a tacit admission that your detractors are correct in their views, combined with a childish yearning to be the only one heard. Censorship in America has no place except in the hearts and minds of those who would replace an elected government with a military junta. Shove your forum up your self righteous fascist . ...kindly F$%K OFF and stick your hands in your pants and try to find what you have obviously lost inside your ego and controlling self. ...if you can't figure out why i am no longer a part of this community ....lather rinse and repeat. it is not the people of the community it is the gate keeper. Bush is nothing more than a coward and a liar and has done the world a great disservice. If he wins a 2nd term it will be because people are stupid like you. Pity as America used to be a great country. I DONT start the god damn flame wars. If u keep ME banned ur a prick anyway, n I dont wanna be part of ur board.
What a great job eh? How else would one be able to enjoy such unsolicited thoughtful commentary from all manner of folks, and not get paid to do so? But if you feel anything has been left unsaid or that you can state it more better, please do share it here. I'm always open to constructive criticism. I do wanna be sure to thank each and every one of our custodians. If not for them, I'd have bagged the site long ago. Thanks guys and girl for all your help and support. Thanks too to all the approved anonies out there who take time to look in on us once in a while. Your participation here means a lot to all of us. Ummm.... ok. Here, or there, doesn't make much difference though. So, as just a minor contributor and not the owner of the site, may I respectfully ask the same from you? I'm certainly not without transgression on that count. So no, I don't feel that all my posts are devoid of personal criticism. And I'm not asking to cease criticism of me. Just that folks put it here in this thread is all. So have at it. You can even criticize my customers if you like. Not that you'd likely know any of them. No big deal to me. If I think you are wrong, I'll just say so and explain why. I certainly doubt I'd malign you over it or question your integrity in over it in public. Or if I did, and it upset you, I'd probably cool down and apologize after a while, make good and move on. After all, life is good. Go Dakar! |

And the purpose of airing all that stuff from years gone by is? I dream of the day I have that kinda leisure time. Don't get me wrong. On the Buell internet mouthy folks come and mouth folks go. From the days of Steve Beigler, the Joseph Gaspard, right through the days of the www.buell.com owner online forum (quickly brought to a halt by the S-2 fairly bracket) there have always been folks ready, willing and able to taunt and throw stones. This is one of the finer virtual venues and I'm at a loss as to why, why numbers increasing at the fastest rate ever, we need to make a wall poster of vile and disgusting things said in the past. It'd be a shame to, with some of the things currently underway at Buell, to have your back turned to the good, staring at old histroy...particularly the chapters penned by the smaller minds. Just my $0.02. Court |

I don't see the problem. It's a forum. Give people a forum and sooner or later they're going to stick their heads up their and their foot in their mouth. Take it at face value and move on. If that doesn't work, give yourself a pay cut. |

...when this was a really good place to be This is still a good place to be! People always say complaints are louder then praise. Well I think you got a perfect example by reading all those quotes. Yeah, I read them all and laughed a few times. It read like an Andrew Dice Clay stand-up routine. My favorite of all the comments was "I really have no use for your site anymore!" Assuming that "former" member was being honest, I am sure he would still have the KV on speed dial the first time he had a question about his bike. (unless it was Dyna who still reads this site anyway) Is that some sort of Hommage to BadWeb the fact that the most discussed topic on Sacborg is this site? There are still many people here (old and new)that enjoy this site. To be honest, you could eliminate all posting functions and it would still be one of the most visited Buell site due to the wealth of knowledge. Specially for us Tuber folks Internet muscles provide hours of fun reading for the rest of the world. Say anything you want with virtually no reprocussions. Be anyone/personality you would like. In the end this site still has the best Buell info, and connection to the factory. God knows this site has fixed more bikes and offered more good advice then any or all the HD dealerships for a much more reasonable price. (Not including Appleton since they did get me 11 extra hp last spring) I don't always agree with you Blake, but I am free to leave at anytime right? There's no gun to my head or virus on my computer keeping me here? If a user doesn't like the site... then please, surf out of here! A side note on the NHRS/cycle-rama thread (which I also read all of)... I am pretty much turned off of both places right now and will probably be getting my heads done at Hoban Brothers in the near future. Nobody took the high road on that thread. Too bad If you do decide to close down BadWeb, let me know so I can print the entire KV for future reference. |

Look, this has gone too far. The very thing that I didn't want to happen, has. I am sorry for that. (friends going at each other) Can we have a big ol' conference call and straighten this out? And, Koz...you can't go wrong with your choice. Hoban's is a very good performance shop. I am sorry that Cycle-Rama is judged soley by me. I am a Buell enthusiast myself, that's how I became to be here in the first place. I joined as a sponsor much much later. I haven't gotten used to the stoic business face I should present here because of my sponsorship status. I apologize for that as well and will certainly try to do better. |

Okay, okay, okay. Since this is the official Bash Blake thread, here goes. Remember this is coming from the token Left Wing Liberal/Socialist/Agnostic on the board. I think Blake is a Right Wing Ultra Conservative religious zealot. But, hey, that doesn't make him a bad guy....after all, he does like Buells and gives us this nice playground. If his rules offend, you can always post on Sacborg. I like like to play in both playgrounds. Does that make me a bad person???? |

This is one of the problems with growing up in a de facto socialized society where everything is handed to everyone for nothing....people forget the basic american tenet of private ownership. This site is not some public holding with a board of directors, nor is it a membership-subsidized club. It is one man's property to do with as he sees fit. I, for one, am thankful that this man created this site and invites anyone who'd like to hang out- anyone wants to criticize the hospitality, welll...be a man and leave. imagine a free lunch at a local hall. could be a church, could be a VFW, but more analogous would be blake's private residence... sign out front says 'come on in'.... you sit down, you have some free chow...all-you-can-eat, in fact.... some nice big kegs flowing, on the house.... you gonna criticize , in his house, the bread the man breaks with you? that's pretty weak. there's an excellent sign at the top of the stairs at a local M/C clubhouse..."if you're not bleeding when you leave here, you're welcome back" Wish websites could be run like that... (oh, yeah- the same goes for criticizing other privately owned sites, on those sites. when i became too critical of sacborg, on sacborg, i realized the hypocrisy. i started out by defending blake, and when i was reaching the point where i was just being negative to sacborg as a whole, i quietly found the door. i post there nowadays, remembering my own creed regarding websites. xlcr- if you dislike sacborg, stay outta their house. hang out here, where most all of us respect your knowledge and flair for reference, at the very least) |

Why does this thread exist? The only thing I'll critize is myself. I've said some stupid things one here and I regret them because I value this board and its members. But why you would want to open the door for (what you call) "constructive critizism"? It's beyond me. |

Great Slitherin' Lizards, Blakester! If I'd known you were going to save all those things I said I would have at least used a spell checker and better grammar. Don't let the occasional upwelling of entitlement get you down, Sir Blake. There are still many of us out here that appreciate your contribution to the Buell community for these many years. I believe it is just part of the package to have to deal with the occasional post from a temporarily (or even permanently) overly lifestyle focused motorcyclist. I admire your willingness to engage these individuals in discussion. My solution would be much less tolerant were it my site. Hang in there! I believe that Darwin is working on your side! Don |

Blake we love ya big guy. Might not always agree with ya but this is a great board because of you. A far as getting trash from folks, well you are running a public expression forum and it comes with the territory, you should see the letters that come in to an editor of a big city daily newspaper. They would curl your hair. When you are out in the public printing stuff the public reads some people will take offense or even hate you. Nothing you can do about it. You can't win them over, a waste of time. People will hate you 'cause your black or white or yellow or your hair's too short of too long, or you drink too much or not enough. Nothing you can do about those folks. Just shut up and walk away. For every one of those nasties there are 100 people who appreciate what you are doing but don't say anything. The newspaper editor just tosses them away. Enought c r a p in the world you need to pay attention to why bother with this stuff? |

something my fertility doctor said to me a few months ago really hit home and it certainly applies here. dr. oates (cool name for a fertility doctor, huh) asked me to keep in touch with him to keep him abreast (lol) of our progress, so i said "sure, what's your email address?", he said i don't want to give it to you, i want to talk with you in person or at least on the phone. i asked why and he stated the obvious, you don't get the whole story with the written word! facial expressions (in person), the tone of your voice(by phone for instance), adds sooo much to what your saying that the two means of communication (written as opposed to phone or especially in person) could come out totally different. so anyways, i don't bother with alot of the stuff people say online because they may not mean what you're reading! where as in person it could mean the total opposite! i find myself having to explain myself often online just for this reason. not to mention all the "tough guys" that would never say half the crap they spew if you were face to face. any way, i like badweb even if blakes a jerk(jk). blake, don't let them get to you there is soooo many posters on this site, you're bound to catch some flack now and again. all i can say about the nrhs/cyclerama thing is i sure miss aarons tech posts and i am saddened that blake and aaron are'nt getting along, they seemed like such good friends back in the day.... |

>>>Give people a forum and sooner or later they're going to stick their heads up their ••• and their foot in their mouth. There is some truth to that. Having, perhaps, been in the "Buells on the net" business longer than anyone here, I've seen the predecessors of Badweb, arrive, flourish and then, when the focus shifted from our common passion to our barley discernable differences, disintegrate. Nothing here **should** be about liking or disliking anyone. When our focus, again, moves from sharing our common excitement about motorcycles to drawing and defending camps and setting our performance metric as "all the same as me", it becomes not only tough, but, in all candor, impossible. Society has proven this; the Internet is but a microcosm. In addition, and I crack it up to two things, my budding career as a jazz guitarist and my slowly slipping into my sunset years, I've stopped archiving and maintaining a library of insults and unkind remarks. I, instead, have papered my walls, filled my mind and decorated my life with great moments, key "survival" chapters in the history of Buell and a gallery of people, publicly famed and quietly behind the scenes, who time after time have played key roles in mot only ensuring Buell survives the endless "Buell isn't going to make it another 6 months" diatribes [[we are]] and those who . . . well "accentuate the positive". In all the years I have known Erik Buell, I have yet to gather a complete amazement for his ability to face adversity and turn each obstacle into another milestone in changing the sport of motorcycling. Odd, how so many lives, my own among them, have changed for the better. I've a photo here of a smilin' Erik and Court some 16 years ago. . . we were happy then, elated now. Me? I'll be headed forward. . . see ya at the 2006 Daytona 200. Court |

Blake, The Book of Proverbs has a verse (I'll post the reference later) that basically says "Whoa to the man who is the friend of all" A good man has enemies Blake. That's a fact. Don't worry about it. Here's another gem (at work, will post the refence later) from the New Testament..."Be at peace with all men as far as you are able". Did you get that? There is a limit as to your own responsibility. You go as far as you are able or responsible for, and the rest is somebody else's part. If you've been wrong in some way, then make it right. After that, you're done. If they still want a pound of flesh, they are wrong. You got my number, let's talk. |

you don't get the whole story with the written word! facial expressions, the tone of your voice adds sooo much to what your saying. Criticizing Blake, Not as easy as it would first appear. Depends on context and relative to a standard of some sort. Most of my "real friends" can best be described as a**holes. Blake doesn't even come close. Everyone I know who has accomplished something has huge flaws. Blakes are really minor. Roger Reiman swore constantly and threw wrenches and such just to get your attention. Miss him most of all His dad Hank was worse. Drank and rode. Was damn fast after 6-20 beers. Try hauling a pissed off mean drunk out of a ditch some night in the rain. Good times far out weigh the bad. I guess Blake could lighten up a little. In ten years we will look back and miss the people that made a difference in our lives. When they're gone the negatives seem to shrink and the positives grow. Making a difference is easy, making something better is hard. Spent a week cooking at Bonneville with Pam, Wes, Aaron and Susan. One of the highlights in my life. Wish everyone the best. Perspective is more easily obtained when a doctor says your test results are not malignant. |

Admittedly there have been times that I have glossed over your comments simply because to my reading impression what you were saying was overzealous and your intent had a purpose other then what I felt was proper. Put into perspective I did and still do understand that purpose even if I do not agree with your tact at the time. I give myself a time out rather then open my mouth and cause more harm. In other cases I have simply walked away from Badweb because I have grown tired of giving the same answers to the same questions asked over and over with no real new information or tech assistance. When something positive and helpful does arise, I read it. Overall I really haven't felt I have had much to offer in the way of assistance to this site that isn't being said or stated by any number of other regular posters. I am not a political animal and I prefer to keep religion out of my daily dealings. I do not begrudge anyone else their religious beleifs and do not feel that to debate them on a forum I use for motorcycle information is relative to my personal perspective. The wealth of knowledge upon this board is extensive and to begrudge that based on a difference of perspective and personal view to the owner of the board is like saying "I don't like you so I am going to take my toys home and not play with you". I tried to stop doing that when I got out of grade school. |

Playing on a wonderful site like this is like playing on the nations interstates(whether it be in a car or on a bike), sometimes you just happen to rub people the wrong way and you end up getting into some kind of road rage moment where you lose control and revert back to some primal state. I've seen the same thing happen here and other sites many times and it always turns out the same way. Either forgive and forget or they hold grudges and never let things die. It is just humanity at its worst, people losing their ability to stay civilized. But what I find absolutely amazing is the fact that so many choose to PM and continue the arguments elsewhere. That is so much like running a bike down with your car, no good can come of it, it can only get worst. OFf the box.... By the way Blake is great for everything he does and tolerates. Thanks to Blake and all other Badweb admins almost as much as I thank Erik! (Message edited by XB12burner on October 18, 2005) |

All in good humor, no very serious agenda was intended here. It all started with a friendly jab at my friend and hero (for his in-progress Dakar effort) Peter. Peter's the kind of man that you can say anything to, have it out and then go have a beer and talk bikes with. I appreciate that kind of person and I hope I'm not too far from the same. I guess it requires a bit of self-confidence. Thanks to those who detected the levity in this. I didn't intend for the list of email quotes to be taken seriously. I sure don't take 'em seriously. "And the purpose of airing all that stuff from years gone by is?" Levity and to try to eliminate the personal commentary that has tended to interrupt other threads. Now we have a place for it. I should have made that a bit more clear. One clarification, the quotes are not from "years gone by". Most of them are from just the past year. Older email gets archived off by itself and I didn't look through it. I'm thankful some saw the humor in the list of quotes. I don't maintain a list of hatespeach quotes, just a "complaints" folder as part of my BadWeB admin email files. Believe it or not some of the complaints are worth considering, even if they include a few hateful comments. "It'd be a shame to, with some of the things currently underway at Buell, to have your back turned to the good, staring at old history...particularly the chapters penned by the smaller minds." Now that is top notch advice. Jon, Same to you. Thanks for the words of wisdom. Who said I was an ultra-conservative religious zealot? LOL. I think the wisdom of Tripp's Dr. Oates is directly applicable in exactly this type of case. Friggin left-wing, socialist, secularists. Thanks Ebear for the humor. Scott does a darn good "#1" there. FB looks a little arthritic. Tramp, "I started out by defending Blake" Doomed yourself right from the start there did ya? Mike, No new helmet yet, and yes I am feeling guilty as heck. I did put a big sticker on the yellow one though. I've been looking at the multi-colored helmets. Just haven't found one that moves me yet. Maybe a custom paint job is in order. Chainsaw, yeah funny isn't it how some guys feel the need to indignantly announce their departure? Steve, That pic gives me an idea for a custom helmet paint job. I can keep it yellow too. Thanks! DonCasto, The fertilizer that spawned SacBORG. LOL! How's that for a line on your resumé? LOL! Sure do appreciate all your help over the years, including all the great S3 info. I NEED to get that loaded on the board. Thanks Dave Gess. Sure learned a lot from you doing the calendar. Hope to work with you again on future projects. BCordb3, You know that Don McClean song "Everybody Loves Me Baby... What's the matter with you?" LOL. That's me in a nutshell. LOL. Now come on folks, some of you aren't doing much criticizing. Stay on topic please. I'm asking for it, so let's here it! RT, Right on bro. You left out "stinky" though. Try to do better next time. Newf, I gotta be honest. I've been living in Texas since '81. But I was raised pure Yankee in Pennsylvania and spent Summers on Chautauqua Lake, NY. That said, I've worked in the oil field, graduated a proud Mustang from SMU (alma mater of First Lady, Laura Bush), eaten plenty of barbeque but still not enough, wear a cowboy hat, owned/own guns, like to shoot guns, wear cowboy boots, and married me a good little girl from Palmer, Texas. What I refuse to do is root for the Cowboys and learn to two-step. Well, maybe I'll learn to two-step. I wish I were a born and raised Texan. It wouldn't have taken me near so long to figure things out. Henrik, Two words... "shower curtain." I obviously have no sense of bathroom quality. Court, "I, instead, have papered my walls, filled my mind and decorated my life with great moments, key "survival" chapters in the history of Buell and a gallery of people, publicly famed and quietly behind the scenes, who time after time have played key roles in mot only ensuring Buell survives the endless "Buell isn't going to make it another 6 months" diatribes [[we are]] and those who . . . well "accentuate the positive"." But haven't you heard?! Buell is going out of business! Daytona in March it is. Will be looking forward to it. Oldog, Great quote! OUCH! Hey who's the wisenheimer who just hit me in the head with that stone! Ebear, How is it those zippers don't give up the cleavage? That simply defies the laws of physics. Paul, Being an a**hole isn't so horrible if you can at least acknowledge it to yourself and others. "Perspective is more easily obtained when a doctor says your test results are not malignant." A'men to that! Wycked, "Put into perspective I did and still do understand that purpose even if I do not agree with your tact at the time." That sure is a bold claim to make. You absolutely sure about that? "The wealth of knowledge upon this board is extensive and to begrudge that based on a difference of perspective and personal view to the owner of the board is like saying "I don't like you so I am going to take my toys home and not play with you". I tried to stop doing that when I got out of grade school." So true. I think I tried to stop doing that about well, heck, I'm probably still trying. Excellent wisdom though. It's a near impossible think to do for some folks. Duc, "Does he know all things Buell" LOL! No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once. Tank, I like fighting with myself. I know one of me will come out the winner. Tramp, "We critcize in others that which we are ashamed of in ourselves" You me off on account of you are so wise, tolerant, and downright lady-killer handsome. Bottom line for me is... Life Is Good! |

I agree that mating parts go together much better when properly toleranced. However, when using the word "tolerance" in the context of this discussion, tolerance means that you stand for nothing and therefore fall for everything. I've known Blake for the better part of 14 years now. We've ridden thousands of miles together, shared good times and bad, and yes, we shared our differences. But I've really admired Blake for the wisdom he has shown in the way he has moderated this board. He has done far better than I. Keith |

Keith, No I haven't. (little inside joke there. ) Thanks Keith. Good friends like you are rare. I for instance only have one. Fourteen years. Dang. John (M2me), If it's okay with you, I'd rather be Paul Harvey thanks. Can you believe Kilgore Cable doesn't offer the Comedy Channel? I bet you would REALLY like Bill Maher's HBO show, "Real Time" is it? I hope that I have a much better sense of humor than Bill O'Reilly. And I hope I don't ever foam at the mouth like he can do sometimes. And the man was not very considerate of dog lovers recently either. I'd never leave my dog behind in a hurricane without knowing he would be safe and well cared for. My best buddy the Border Collie is going to be 16 years old on Saturday. He's know Keith for 14 years too. LOL. Big Bad Bear on a Unicycle, No way! I'm a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Always have been. Always will be. |

Naughty, I'm great other than apparently being a bit strange. FB, Yeah, that right hand finger of yours appears to be slightly impaired there old buddy. The minimal acute angle it forms with the back of adjacent fingers is well below the minimum specified off angle of optimum effect. See Scott's example for optimum technique. That man obviously practices his technique often. I don't think I've seen that pic before. Great pic. That was the best time I've had watching a motorcycle race ever. But amigo, I was rooting for my man Colin, The Texas Tornado! That race is his next year. The great thing about 151 when you are camping is that it doubles as lantern fuel if needed. Can ya believe it? I left my ol' straw hat on the airplane in Dallas. I think you two should come out to Daytona in March. That wonderful Denise babe who lets you hang around would fit right in with all the umbrella girls and such and make us all look so very good. John (M2me), I think the book is "Who's Looking Out for You for Kids". The guy is always selling a book. Radio, TV, books, good grief, stop and smell the roses man. Booing from the couch is okay I guess. But if you ever get to the point of pressing your but cheeks up against the screen, it may be time for therapy. Jon, No worries. You know we have it covered. Thanks. |

LOL - Blake struck me as a very enthuesiastic person who enjoys life, and didn't even really sound like your average Texan - I guess its the brains leaking forth - lol - let me explain: My first adult fight was with a Texan on my first day in bootcamp in San Diego - this wirry kid named Kristy was mouthing off about how everything was better in Texas compared to Cali and I was severely hung over from the going into the Navy party friends threw. I impolitely told him to shut the F**k up! and of course he replied in simular fashion - so I decked him. The company commander comes up and barks - What the hells going on here?! - I replied - I just found out I don't like Texans sir! - he smiled and said - Your in a heap of trouble then boy! I'm from Texas! - lol - I had marching party and short tour everyday till I graduated and I was on a drill team - lol. In A school I met some cool Texans and life became better in my relationships with them, but I'll never forget that and I'm always wary in what I now say to a Texan - trying in my later life not to cause trouble having learned trouble will find me soon enough! GT - JBOTDS! EZ |

I would hate to see badweb becoming a free for all hack and slash bitching forum Oke, even I sometimes get the creeps from posts like “what’s the best exhaust “or how to change plugs treads Almost is said and written. And like close friends you tent to use a more freely chosen writing, This, on the other hand, can provoke some one reading it,and not understand the deeper meaning or relation between the members. Blake ( & all custodians ) your doing a great job, Sometimes a little overreacting, editing and deleting post But that’s my opinion, My opinion is keep a open book, in other words put your money where your words are, If you see post edit/re-edit it in 3 hours time , it should not have posted it at the first time. And with the personal problems, He you don’t have to like every body, As time goose by people change, opinions change…friends go there own way , and you make new friends Thanks for badweb, greetings bud |
